Check and replace the electrolytic capacitors at it vertical scan output circuit. Check for any loose solderings at its vertical scan output IC terminals. Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

RCA Tru Flat 20" TV/DVD Combo Remote and manual

Hi
Check its speaker first. If it is Ok, check whether the volume is set to zero, or mute function is ON. If all of the above is OK, the audio output IC of your tV is faulty. You ahve to replace it with same type and number. Audio IC can be located by following the speaker wire. One end of that wire will go to oudio output section. There will be an IC; usually screwed on to a metal heatsink. Check its solder terminals first, for any loose soldernng. It is best to resolder all the solder terminals of that IC, by applying a little more solder, without making any solder bridge in between adjecent solder points. If this resoldering also does not help you, check the voltage at the pins of that IC. The maximum voltage will be between 25 and 24VDC. If the voltage also is there, and still there is no sound, replace the IC with same type and number, provided the speaker is good. OK.

Hello i have a clarion vrx785bt head unit it is stuck on amp protec mode i have tried the headunit in my other automobile is there a bulit in amp in this radio? if so what steps can i take to resolve this...

sounds like the IC amp in the head unit is shorted and the unit is in protect mode.
you would need to send it into clarion for replacement or repair unless you can find a local tech to replace the IC for you and reset the unit

I have an rca ctc186/7 series tv and it has no sound. We tried cleaning it, hooking other speakers to it and hooking up a dvd player and still no sound.

Hello

The audio output Ic inside your tv has damaged, or it doesn't get proper voltage. You just open your TV, and locate the audio output Ic. It can be located by following the speaker wires. Usually it will be screwed onto a heatsink. Check the input voltage with the help of a multi meter, af it is there, the Ic is damaged. Replacing it will solve the problem. If there is no voltage, follow the supply track and find out the opened circuit point. Usually a small value resistor, say 0.01Ohms in value, will be connected in series with the power supply to Ic. If it gets opened, there will be no supply to Ic, resulting no sound. If the audio outpu Ic get short this resistor will open. So keep in mind that, if this resistor is opened, there may be a short inside the output Ic, or come capacitors fitted with this supply line, after the reistor. Check the also for any short. keep a keen look at the solderings fo the leges of this output Ic. Some loose, or bad solderings also may be there. Anyway, your TVs audio output section is faulty. Find the reason and rectify it. If audio Ic is found defective, desolder it out from the board, and replace it with a same type and number. Ok

How can i connect an mp3 player on my Power Acoustik PTID-4007

Expandability Options:
  • 3 sets of preamp outputs (front, rear and subwoofer)
  • Telephone Mute trigger wire for Bluetooth adaptation
  • iPod Ready: IC-1 iPod Connection Cable Required and Sold Separately
  • Front-panel auxiliary input: Mini USB input and SD Card slot
  • Rear auxiliary input: 1 back-up camera input and 1 A/V input
  • 1 Video output
The aux rear a/v input should do the trick.
If it is a component (RCA) type input, you will need a Male 3.5mm to dual Male RCA adapter.
If it is a 3.5mm input, a Male 3.5mm on each end.

I believe you will need the Dual RCA (red/wht) to 3.5mm cable.
The Audio inputs are purple RCAs on the back of your head unit.

Inputs

There is a switching, flat pack type, IC that needs to be changed. It is located on the input board of this TV set. You will need special surface mounted component tools to remove this IC and to replace it with a new one. If you have no repair experience, working with surface mounted components, play it safe and that the set to a repair shop or call someone in. Good Luck
