Epson tm-t88v is cutting the receipt at the bottom twice

Epson is cutting twice leaving little strips of paper that fall into the printer. How do I go back to only printing once. I have the advanced driver on the printer currently

SOURCE: an extra cut about 1 inch after the invoice is printed

I am having a problem where the windows test page prints fine up to a point then it cuts the test page and does not finish printing to the part where it tells you this is the end of the test page. I am also using restaurant pro and was trying to fix the problem where it does not print the scanner bar at the end of the receipt. the rest prints fine all it put is the on hold and table number where the bar code should be any suggestions?

SOURCE: how to auto tear paper after printing receipt is completed.

I had the same problem, and after going through so many articles, I was getting the message but didn't know how to pass the escape codes. All you need to do is pass the ASCII code of the characters needed preceded by the ASCII code for Escape. In Delphi, we use Char(27) or #27. In my case I used ESC 105 Null and it worked. Here is my sample code, with Str being a TStrings class (A string array object) and the WriteTextFile being a procedure to write the Strings to LPT1 as plain text. We would like to first apologize to you for any issues that you have experienced with the installation of your EPSON TM-T88V printer...


The first thing to do is to uninstall any and all EPSON printer drivers that are currently installed. This can be done through the Control Panel (Start - Control Panel - Programs and Features) then select the Epson drivers that are installed and select uninstall.


After that is done it is recommended to manually delete the folders that the drivers are installed in. These folders are usually located:

C:\Epson

C:\Program Files\Epson (32Bit)

C:\Program Files(x86)\Epson (64Bit)


At this point you can download the printer drivers that are certified with that printer:

Receipt printer paper reduction isn't working


Power the printer on and press the Paper button to see if paper will load.
If the paper doesn't load, make sure the paper isn't curled or creased, isn't loaded above the arrow on the left edge guide, and that the paper isn't jammed in the printer.

Take the paper stack from the tray; fan it before attempting to print.

Make sure the paper stack is leaning against the paper tray and not standing straight up in the tray.

If the Paper Out light is on solid, reload the paper, making sure the paper edge guide is adjusted to fit the paper's width, and then press the Paper button again to see if the paper will now load.

If the Paper Out light is flashing, turn the printer off, reload the paper, turn the printer back on, and try pressing the Paper Feed button again to see if the printer will now successfully load the paper. If the problem persists, power the printer off, remove the printer cable, and make sure all of the packing materials are removed.

If the problem is not resolved, contact Epson's technical support for further assistance.

EPSON TM T88IV


The TM-T88IV printer is a thermal printer and does not have ink or a ribbon.

If the printer is not printing you may have the wrong type of paper in the printer. You must have thermal paper in order for the printer to work. Paper for a dot matrix printer will not work in this printer.

The printer has a self-test that you can perform by turning the printer off, holding down the Feed button and turning the printer on. A test strip will print. Press the Feed button again to print a longer test strip.
