My grill in my Tricity Bendix cooker is not working?

ISOLATE THE MAINS VOLTAGE TO THE COOKER AND GRILL, if it has a plug unplug it.
There is a regulator on the switch, you will need a tester, if this is working and continuity through the switch reducing as you increase or rotate the switch, that's working. Go to the back top a regulator is attached to the chassis of the cooker inspect for exterior damage, if not check continuity it should only conduct in one direction, and not to the chassis, if it is conducting in all , or opposite directions replace the component. You should be able to collect one from a small electrical repair shop.
Hope this is helpful.

John

Inadequate flame and heat

I'd change the regulator, clean the burners and the surrounding area. Make sure that the air intakes around the burners aren't blocked , plugged..
Also check the gas orifices for cleanliness... outdoor grilles are nutorious for bug hotels... these little critters move in, lay eggs and it can screw up the burners, orifices... I've several times needed to remove orifices to clean the inside of mini spider nests... Look them over closely..

Grill lights but flame is low and goes out if control is moved from high. Burner tube is clean, spider screen is clean, and I have a full tank of LP. Grill is Q series about 1 year old and has been working...

Hello. Are you frustrated because your gas grill doesn't get hot enough lately. The problem you are having indicates that you have to go through a procedure called "RESETTING THE REGULATOR". Follow these easy steps:

1. Turn the burners on for one full minute and then off.

2. Next, remove the regulator and the hose from the tank.

3. Then reconnect the tank to the regulator and hose.

4. And very slowly open the tank.

5. Last step is to fire up the burners and start cooking with you new hot flame.

The problem began the first time you opened the valve on the tank too quickly. In the future, always turn the tank valve on s-l-o-w-l-y to prevent this problem.. Joe

Genesis s310 stainless grill. Does not fully light.

Regulator is not bad, as I stated before new valves are designed to reduce gas flow if valve is opened to fast. This is so if grill catches on fire, the tank will shut itself off, thus propane will stop flowing causing fire to extinguish itself.

My grill on my oven is melting the knobs and the heat is that hot i have to stand away from the cooker i have to switch the knobs off a tea towel and it fills the kitchen with smoke is this covered under...

I assume that you are grilling with the oven door open and not closed, if you are grilling with the door closed, then this will cause an overheating problem,if this is not the case, then I would suggest that the grill regulator is faulty,. and needs replacing.
It not covered by health and safety rules.
Please leave any comments you may have, as I like to know if my comments are appropiate.
Thanks.

Need Manual for Sikes 3 ft Cooker

no manual needed, to much preassure means the preassure regulator is shot(the round thing on the supply line). not enough flame is usually a corroded burner

Grill with a full tank of gas will not get hot

Low flame, low temperature, yellow flame: This has become the biggest problem with many grills these days and it's almost always because of the regulator (the funny UFO shaped thing on the gas hose). Regulators seem to be stickier these days and when they stick you don't get enough gas to generate a good grilling temperature. To get your regulator unstuck you need to release the pressure on it. Follow these steps exactly:
  1. Turn off the gas at the propane tank
  2. Disconnect the gas line from the tank
  3. Open the grill lid
  4. Turn all control valves to high
  5. Wait for about a minute
  6. Turn all control valves to off
  7. Reconnect the gas line to the tank
  8. SLOWLY turn on the gas at the tank
  9. Light the grill normally
  10. Your grill should now heat normally
To keep the regulator from sticking again make sure that you turn off the control valves first, then turn off the tank valve. Always open your tank valve slowly. If this doesn't work give it a second try. If you still have low flame then you probably have a faulty regulator that will need to be replaced.

Beko cooker model DC211B

Hi
many thanks for your reply ,I suspected that a charge may be applicable for your guidance of how repair the Fault .
Hence enough money spent as I was not happy with the wiring of the appliance as it would not have passed a P.A.T. .
I have purchased a New Cooker Model DW531 as the appliance is for my Disabled Brother & his Wife (Trade Price )

Many thanks

The cooker stays warm when mains cooker switch is on.

Either teh grill element or the oven heating element is fault or the thermostat or grill regulator, locate which element is warm, if the grill then it is most likely the regulator, if it is the oven it is the thermostat. Engineer
