Question about Washing Machines

Open Question

Westpoint washing machine

Electronic display in dead. The power button will not switch on display lights when pressed. Power input to the pcb panel was checked. The step down transformer reading mounted on the same panel is giving about 13Vac. Could it be the smoothing capacitor? There is this big capacitor of 25V 100uF that looks slighly inflated. I cannot really trouble shhot the pc as it is totally enclosed in tick transparent glue :/ Any help please?

SOURCE: No power to washing machine but fuse is ok...

could be 2 things 1)try closing the door and banging the machine on the front next to where your door catch goes into the washer if it starts could have a lose wire or be faulty 2)if no1 doesnt work than it will be your mains filter which if blown power doesnt get to your machine if the machine is brand new and has manufacturers warranty then these are covered through the warranty and any tampering will void your warranty though should be covered for no less than a year

SOURCE: Zanussi ZWF1437W washing machine - wont start

The error message "Err" usually indicates that the wash program and option are not compatible. 40 degrees and 900 rpm Spin should be o.k.. I would try another wash program with no special options and see if the problem goes away.

I have zanussi ZWH 6140 P WATER WONT DRAIN ERROR CODE 5 FLASHING RED LED LIGHTS?

First, always check carbon brushes on main motor especially if the appliance is in use for several years.

Five times the red alarm means a problem with the engine washing.
So, could be:

E51 - Motor power triac short-circuited.
Current leakage from motor or from wiring; Main PCB faulty
E52 - No signal from motor tachometric generator.
Wiring faulty; Motor faulty; Main circuit board faulty.
E53 - Motor triac sensing circuit faulty (wrong input voltage to
microprocessor). Main circuit board faulty.
E54 - Motor relay contacts sticking (high voltage level when
the relay switches to OFF).
Current leakage from motor or from wiring; Main PCB faulty;

Rapid reading last alarms:
Press the START/PAUSE button and the nearest option button simultaneously (4 and 6) for at least 2 seconds: the LEDs initially switch off, and then display the flashing sequence indicating the last alarm.

Start/pause button is not working on my LG washing machine. All other buttons are working fine?

Problem maybe that the START/PAUSE button has broken loose from the control panel. All the buttons are attached to control panel and "hinged" so when you press the button, the button presses a small button switch on the display control. You may have to order
the Control Panel.. Disassembly is required to inspect.
It would be least likely that the Display PCB is bad..

Fisher and Paykel IW609 Intuitive Washer powers up then dies

SOLVED!! The sequence described in the original posting is of course exactly what the unit does on power-up anyway. The problem turned out to be a power button that was non-functional, because the small plastic lever that actuates it from the front panel had slipped off the side of the button spigot and was jammed beside the spigot. Unscrewed the PCB behind the front panel to free the lever and put the PCB back. 5-minute fix!.

My Miele Novotronic W502 does not have any power although it is plugged in

I would check that I do have power present at the outlet. If power is present the next step would be to check the fuse on the push button switch. Unplug the machine and then gain access to the push button switch by pulling the knob off after that you will need to take the orange plastic key from behind the detergent dispenser, and use it to remove the facia panel by pressing down slightly and wedging the key in between to gain access to the electronic. The electronic can be removed by taking out the 2 Torx 20 screws one on each side after that remove the connector plugs from the push button and unseat it from the clip. If you the fuse has continuity it could be a problem with the interference capacitor or the electronic.

Dishwashing cycle starts for about 3 minutes then flashing LE light comes on and the machine stops. Why?

Display Condition LE = Motor Error

Possible Cause For Error Occurrence:

Wiring connection is OK?
The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked.
The rotor of Washing Motor is locked.
The Blade is locked.

Remedy:

Check the wiring connection.
Replace the cause of restriction.
Replace the Washing Motor.
Replace the PCB.

Try the following steps:

Unplug the washing machine if you see an LE error on the two-digit display electronic readout. This error indicates a miscommunication between the control panel and wash motor.

Press and hold the "Start/Pause" button on the front panel for five seconds.

Plug the LG dishwasher back in.

Run a cycle. The LE code will clear.
