Question about Dyson DC25 All Floors Bagless Upright Vacuum
I have replaced the whole head twice now as the beater bar stops turning. Could something else be causing this? I bought the last one four months ago. Thanks, Helen
Hi Helen, it's Jack at Dyson.

Yes the wires are probable not properly connected to the brush bar motor dyson is not like other vacuums if you reverse the wires the motor does not turn it reverse it simply stop rewire it correctly or take it to guarantee vacuum and sewing center for better comsumption they have a lifetime warenty on them that should cover that all dyson vacuums do

I just came from the repair shop. There is a recurring problem with a bearing coming out. Repair guy turned it on & said that loud noise is a symptom of that exact problem. This is a warranty item, as is the belt & on/off switch. Dyson comes with a 5 year warranty, so call their 800 number to get the name & address of an authorized repair shop.

Hi its Darran at Dyson.
Check that the brush control dial is in the centre position when the machine is locked upright. When you release the head and pull the handle back this dial should mopve forward to the on position. Once here, the brush bar should turn.
If this doesnt resolve the problem, please contact our Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK) or 1866MYDYSON (US).
