I would use a oil based stain and soak the veneer in it. If it is veneer as in a piece of furniture you would continue to apply the stain until it sits on top of the veneer. You can also thin the stain to allow it to absorb into the veneer.

I have a Brother PE770. It is running just fine, but leaving little brown (looks like oil) spot on top of the fabric. They wash out easily enough, but how do I fix this?

You need to figure out exactly what is causing the brown spots. If it is, in fact, old oil, you may want to moisten a soft piece of fabric with rubbing alcohol and clean the presser foot bar and needle bar as the oil could be running down and staining the fabric.

My Brother embroidery machine is leaving oil stains on material when I sew. What's the problem and what do I do to fix it.

At some point, the machine has probably been over-oiled--perhaps not by you. If the oil is coming from the needle bar or presser foot bar, you can try cleaning those bars with a clean cloth to remove any excess oil. (Drop the presser foot and the needle so you can wipe as high as possible.)

If it continues to be an issue, you may need to have your machine cleaned.

Value and age of Singer Sewing machine?

This may help:

Singer Sewing Machine Company Serial Numbers

If it is the K number, there were 20,000 machines made. So, the likelihood is that there are still a lot of them around. Value is very subjective based on several things including the physical and mechanical condition, accessories included, rarity of the model, etc. FWIW, it seems that the wood cabinets really don't appear to add much, if anything, to the value.

How To Clean Silk

Hand Wash the item. Gently move the silk fabric around in the soapy water. Rub stains with your fingers or a sponge to clean them. Pour the water out when finished washing your garment.
Rinse the silk garment in a vinegar solution. White vinegar removes soap, restores shine and softens silk. Fill the basin with cold rinse water. Add 1/4 c. (50 ml) white vinegar. Gently move the garment around in the water to thoroughly rinse it. Empty the basin again.
Rinse the item in cold water. Add cold water to the basin. Rinse the silk item a second time in a basin of fresh, cold water. Turn the garment over and around to ensure it is completely rinsed and free of soap.

Yellow grease stain on sewing machine

sometimes you can remove the stains and sometimes you can't
here are some questions to ask about this machine
is this sewing machine a discontinued model that would be hard
to find parts for?
if the machine needs a new part would a generic work or am
I in for a lot of problem with this model?
I've been sewing for over 30 years and I personally would not
keep the machine,,I would take it back and get another one,,
I would get one that meets my sewing needs for stitching and
one that looks clean without stains and make sure the sales person
show you that the machine will work before you take the machine
home. sales people tell you how wonderful a machine is and then
when you get it home that when the nightmare begins.

Horn cabinets will fit all machines but you need to find a sewing machine supplier to order one because they are very expensive
