Question about Archos Audio Players & Recorders
When archos mp3 is conected to the PC (or car usb mp3 player) no files or folders are found. Although it seems that free/used disk space is correctly represented, no file are visible from usb. Pleying them and seeing them from the mp3 player itself is still ok.

SOURCE: "formatting problem"
I had a similar problem, I could upload songs, but they wouldn't play and I couldn't delete them. turned out it was cause I didn't have WMP10 installed on my PC, had an older version. the user manual states it only works with WMP10, and after I installed it (just search for windows media player 10 on the microsoft website) I was able to use the synch function in WMP10 and all the songs are playable (I'm listening to an album as I type :D)

Why don't you try to format your external drive. There's a variety of options where you can format it. The first one is Go to the My Computer then Right Click on the Icon of your External Drive then Select Format, it is better to select full erase of the the drive.

It may be just the USB working mode of the player. The USB mode has to be set to either mass storage to view file/folders in Windows Explorer, or the other mode for Syncing with special mp3 player software such as Rapsody. NormalIy the USB mode is "automatic", but sometime this doesn't work or gets set off of automatic. So try setting the USB mode in the player's options. Is that doesn't work, please advise.

Ok First, Open Your MP3 player
2) Go To Setup
3) Then Go to system
4)Then Usb Mode
5) there will be auto or MSC
6) choose msc and then plug it in the files will be there.
