Question about Heating & Cooling
The company that manufactured this brand ceased operation 6 years ago and I would like to purchase a replacement remote. Where could I purchase one
There are several generic remote control units that can be purchased at most stores that specialize in A/Cs. Maybe some electronic shops could have some but it is safer to go to a more specialized store. You ask for a Universal A/C remote control. You have to input the code corresponding to your unit in the remote control. If your unit does not appear in the list provided with the remote, there is a "seek" or "search" function that will find the right code in most remotes. Otherwise, you have to try out all codes from 000 to 999 (long, boring and tedious) until you find the right one.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Make sure a back draft in the flue is not happening. Wind can blow it out until the flue heats up. The flame sensor may not be close enough to the burner flame. It may be weak and need to be replaced or if its an optical one it may be dirty and not see the flame very well. Its not wasting much gas but it puts extra wear and tear on the gas controls, is noisy, and, as you said, blows cold drafty air. A gas control system that has issues of any kind is not real safe. It needs to get fixed.

If your remote control have display but cannot transmit signal to the unit. Confirm first if the remote is really the problem, using your camera or cellphone camera as your eyes point the remote transmitter to your camera and "on" the remote. You should see light emits in your remote control, if no emitted light then the remote control is defective. But if there is a light the defect is in the unit receiver.
Check also if there is a reset or rst button in your remote control and reset it and try.
Check also if there are error codes in the unit, reset the unit by disconnecting the power supply in the unit for 10 sec. and "on" again and try.
The unit can be operate without remote control, use the manual button located in the unit.
If the remote control have no display replacement of remote is recommended.
