If you are using the computer, and there's only one user account, this is already the so-called administrator account. Windows Vista has patterned its security from Linux wherein you can not permanently logged on to the Session 0. You may add more administrators on your computer by going to User Accounts (found in Control Panel)

Need 2 know how 2 disable administrator password

Right click on your computer icon on the desktop and in that menu choose "Manage". Click on "local users and groups". Double click on the Users folder. In there you will see your administrator account. It will either say Administrator or whatever you named it during the windows installation.
Right click on the admin account and go into properties. Then check the box that says Account is disabled. This in effect will disable the admin password because nobody will be able to use the admin account.

Help needed to become a computer administrator

To get into the administator acount, press f8 repeatedly on startup, until an option screen appears. select safe mode, as this is the only way to get into the admin acount on xp. It may prompt for a password, which is the admin password you typed on setup. From the admin acount, you can go into user accounts, and make your normal acount admin.
Hope this helps,

On my hp computer i set my dad an account then after a while we forgot the password and he was the addministrator so everytime i try to download stuff i have to do his password but i cant because we forgot...

If you are lucky, the system is running Windows XP home edition. Boot to the Safe mode (F8) at boot, and see if you have an option for an ADMINISTRATOR account if there is, the password should be blank. Then you can boot to that account, and reset the password on your father's account.

How do I become administrator on my computer?

Log into the administrator account, then go to control panel > User accounts and set your account to be administrator. Usually the admin account won't have a password unless you set it yourself.

Lost user account

You actually probably created the new account as an admin. You don't really need to recover it. You just use this account as your admin account. You can then create another non admin account now and have everyone else besides the "admin" likely being you, can use the non admin account. All your files can still be found in "rootdrive:\Documents and settings\administrator
There you can find all your documents that you had in My documents under the administrator account.
Hope this helps,
