My playstation 2 is running and the sound works but nothing shows up on the screen and i tried to replace the cables but that also did not work.

Unplug the tv power and check the input sources on the set. If that doesn't work check your cables.

ok so,reset your playstation 3 and see if that works.second try to unplug the usb cable and blow it out then plug back in and try that.

try cleaning the laser with a q tip covered in alcohol very very gently

its probably the tv

check the AV cable. try cleaning your AV cable. maybe you need new AV cable. hope this helps :D

have you checked that the av cables are pluged in properly???

Could possibly be that it is not connected up correctly, or your playstation has died. If you have access to another playstation, hook it up to your cables as they are hooked up. If the screen works. Your playstation has died.

If not, and you have the same issues, try their cables, and if that doesn't work. You have it plugged in incorrectly.

i have a tv that only has the audio out put and video out put as well . and my playstation 2 works on it. just plug the white and yellow ends in to your tv and it will still work without you unplugging any cables. hope this helps.

It is most likely a screen problem, perhaps the screen is disconnected. I would suggest having it serviced, or perhaps you can try to disassemble it and check the cable is fully plugged in.
