Question about Sony VPL CS1 Multimedia Projector
Have been using this projector for several years on the road. Unit has worked flawlessly. Suddenly both the LAMP/COVER and FAN/TEMP indicator lights came on, not blinking. Replaced bulb, worked fine ONCE, then, on next boot-up, same thing... both the LAMP/COVER and FAN/TEMP indicator lights came on, not blinking. I went through reset operation when bulb replaced, and have removed/replaced bulb again with same symptoms. Any help?
With both lights solid. according to the manual all it says is (there is an electrical failure inside the unit, please take to an authorized servicer). if you are able to do this yourself you will need the schematics and a voltmeter to start testing your voltages. your lamp is fine so dont waste your money replacing that anymore. if you would like the service manual send me an email to email@example.com.
