Do a factory reset to this set. To do it, you have to enter its service mode option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

Check the menu. In almost flat panel tvs there is setting that allow you to select in between internal speaker and external speaker. If the selected setting is external speaker the you wont get sound from the internal speakers.

My sabre tv has stopped playing sound for hd channels and shows. How do I get the sound working?

Be sure to select "internal", not "external" speakers in the SETUP menu. Cancel the "mute" of the internal speakers.

No sound coming from speakers

Do you have sound when playing a DVD etc via the rear audio/video Jacks?

If so:

Look in main TV menu for speakers: ON or OFF settings.

If using a box for signal look to it and TV to make sure sound not off or turned low (if direct to set from box unplug box and plug back to reboot it)

If set has connections on rear for external speakers there may be a setting or switch to select either internal or external speakers.

If NONE of the above resolves this issue set has a audio circuit problem and needs a shop to repair this.

CANT FIND A EXTERNAL SPEAKER SET

before attempting that:

Look in set menu to see if speakers are switched ON or OFF.

Check on SET and a Box if used that sound is not turned off or low.

If set has hookup for external speakers is external or internal selected.

Does the set have sound when a DVD etc. is connected via one of the rear sets of audio/video input jacks?

IBM thinkpad type 2647 - after installing external

Go to control panel / sounds / audio, and see if the boxes have greyed out writing, if so then the driver needs reloading, if they are all good check all settings.

Meant to ask if volume control icon is showing in the right lower task bar.

External speakers do not work on my MacBook pro

Plug in your external speakers then go to system preferences then sound when in the sound control panel go to the output tab and select the external speakers as the device for sound output and of course at the bottom of the control panel make sure that the mute check box is unchecked and turn up the volume. Hope this helps

Sound problem - Acer Aspire 5920

I assume you are using Windows Vista as ships with Aspire 5920's. Try the following to make sure that Windows is using the correct output options:
  1. Click on the Start Menu and go to Control Panel
  2. From Control Panel click on Hardware and Sound
  3. Click on the heading Sound and the sound configuration box will appear.
  4. The first tab is called Playback and allows you to select a playback device.  You should find your external speakers and internal speakers listed.
  5. Click the external speakers and then click on the "set default" button to make sure that the sound is played back through those instead of your internals.
