I have a wine cooler that I bought 1 yr ago, I keep my top level for white wine a t 49 degrees and my bottom at 61 degrees for reds no problem until now. my bottom will not maintain it 61 degree setting and drops to into the 40's. I have unplugged the refrigerator over night and plugged it back again the next morning but the temp is dropping again only in the bottom half, the top is maintaining the proper temp. and i can adjust it up or down and it work fine just the bottom half will not hold the warmer temp and drops.
any suggestions to fix this problem?
I suspect the cooler can only actually regulate one of those temperatures and the other one just drags along behind. Perhaps the weather is now warmer and the cooler has to keep the motor on longer to keep cool. The unregulated bottom temperature ends up cooler as a consequence.
Either that or the opposite effect is doing it.
The answer might be to find a 61 degree place in your house to keep the reds.

I have the same problem and so do others who gave feedback on Amazon. Any ideas out there?

On the Magic Chef site you can order parts for the cooler. I took mine out and treid to find them on the web somewhere else and could not locate them anywhere except China and England. I know this isn't true but tried every search option I could think of. They are about $22 plus shipping (HIGH). The Magic Chef site has parts in the service section. You select your appliance and model number and it lists all of the available replacable parts for purchase. This is at:
