Question about Lite On Laars Lite 2 Heaters: 250,000BTU MV Heater
Main burner would not stay lit, then would not light at all. Reading at the pilot generator was erratic, then dropped to less than 100mv. At first I thought defective pilot generator but now think maybe a clogged or defective pilot. My question is, how do I get the pilot generator/pilot out to clean or replace? I have the manual but it does not help.
Shut off the gas at the gas **** and gas valve. the pilot tube is held in place by a 7/16 compression nut. remove it then remove the 2 screws for the thermopile "generator". follow the pilot tube and the pilot assembly should be held in by one or two screws. usually you don't have to remove the main burners. hopefully this helps
