Use any computer that can access the internet and download the drivers from the Dell site. Have your service number handy. After download transfer to either flash drive or cd then load these to your computer.

Pc backup

It won't erase the operating system. It will just restore to the state when you first received your computer. if you are planning to do a factory restore, then make sure that you back up all your important files like images, videos, doc, etc.

You can save them in an external storage device like USB flash drive or USB hard drive.

After doing the factory restoration, all software problems will be fixed except the drivers which are going outdated. Outdated drivers cause a lot of issues in your computer. To keep them updated, install RadarSync so that your computer will have automatic driver updater.

I hope this helps!

If you have any questions, please shoot me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Thank you,

Do i loose toshiba drivers after factory settings ?

All the software will be returned to the original condition. ALL updates must be reinstalled. That's the definition of a factory recovery/restore.

Windows 7 will not restore from restore to factory setting on windows 7. how can i restore without o/s disk?

Have you changed your hard driver since you purchased your computer? If so then you can't get it back to factory settings unless you have changed something in the BIOS menu if that is the case then just go into your BIOS and you might find something in there to do it, but if you have changed your hard drive or completely formatted your hard drive then you will not be able to get it back to factory settings. If there is anything else please let me know

I had to put my computer back to factory settings and now my Belkin wont go on wireless. It does work if i plug cable in.Is there anything i can do?

I see you set Windows back to defaults as you mentioned and now your Router will not go Wireless.
First Restoring Windows Back to Factory Defaults will not reset your Routers Settings to Defaults together with Windows.
So Most Probably the issue is since you restored windows back to factory defaults you may need to install the Wireless Driver again on the Machine / Computer to make your computers wireless card work again and be able to detect and connect to your Belkin Router.
try a difefernt device that can connect wireless to your Router or maybe a different Laptop to see if the Belkin is working fine wireless.
If any other Laptop will not detect the Belkin then try turning the Wireless Radio ON again in the Router Settings of Belkin.
But I suggest to check all your system drivers if installed for it to be wireless capable again on the issue, Restoring Windows back to Default will not change anything in the Belkin Router. I believe this is a Driver issue on the Wireless card of your Computer.
You mentioned the system does work if plugged in Wired right, check your drivers install every driver that needs to be installed from the Manufacturer Website of your Computer for proper and compatible drivers.
Have a nice day.

Have a look in your manual, it will let you know where the rescue partition is, indeed if it is still intact.

I formatted my C drive because I couldn't get it to do a system restore back to factory settings. I had to install Windows 7 from a USB drive. The install went fine, but now that it's running again, I'm...

Too late - when you formatted the entire drive you erased all partitions including the restore software that was initially included with your machine. If you cannot connect to the internet now it is because you have driver issues. Using device manager find the peripherals that have exclamation marks or questions next to them and use another computer go into the web and look for win 7 drivers for them.
Good luck

Acer m1640 factory restore

Format the drive, then install an operating system such as xp, or windows 7 .... it should install most of the correct drivers. You may have to go to the manufactures website to find the exact drivers for the video and sound cards., but that should pretty much return it to factory settings. If you are really picky and have the bucks, you can contact ACER for the original disks.

Just been given acer5920 how do yo reset it to factory settings

Keep hitting Alt and F10 keys together when it is first booting to get to the restore routine. This can be tricky so give it a few tries. If the restore partition was deleted this won't work and you would need to reinstall from discs to go back to a fresh install.

Wireless internet is not working after restoring factory settings

Oh, wireless Internet? You restored it? Did you install a different operating system? Or had you installed one before resetting? A change of OS may result in the deletion of particular drivers.

Go to the manufacturer's website. There, search for your model's support and download the drivers you want, for instance, the wireless network adapter drivers. Also, check your sound.
