Question about Starbucks Single Serve Brewer, Verismo 580

When my verismo is making coffee the pod breaks open and coffee grounds pour out

I've already returned one of these machines for the same problem and now I have another. They act like I'm crazy.

You can move the handle slowly up and down until the coffee pod drops down. Be sure the used pod holder underneath is empty.

Verismo pods are splitting

I would definitely return the pods. They are probably an inferior batch and they would probably exchange them.

Starbucks verisimo clogged and the spout is shooting off

If your machine is clogging, try running the water through the machine, Press the button that [looks like a little shower icon on the top left] first. May need to do it twice. Do that each time before you put a coffee pod in the Verisimo.

Sounds like a problem with the pods. Check they are manufacture recommended. When on espresso the pressure will be higher so a
"weak" pod could cause this. Unless the machine is producing too high a pressure. Check also there are no projections that could rip the pod when you close the holder.

What are coffee pods? Someone told me to use them in my coffee machine?

Some coffee machines have the option to either use ground coffee and filters or coffee pods. These are small, sealed containers that have the ground coffee inside. You insert the pods into the machine and click them into place. The machine pierces a hole and the water drips through. It's a much tidier way to make coffee especially if you don't drink a lot of it, so you don't want a whole jug full, rather just one cup at a time.
