Trying to reset a new 4 digit code in my wireless remote Sears 139.53754 but I dont know the current code which the instructions say I need in order to reset. I tried the smart button on the motor unit...

You don't need the current code. What you need to do is press and immediately release the smart button and then walk over to your keypad and enter any 4 digit code you like. If this doesn't work your keypad is bad.

How to reset garage door opener pad without old acess number

A Stanley garage door keypad is wall-mounted, battery-operated device that allows you to open your home's garage door electronically without having to manually lift the door or use a pull chain. The keypad uses a four-digit access code that you program after the keypad is initially installed. You can change the code, disable the keypad manually by entering a invalid code and reset the keypad if the device is not working properly. After you reset your Stanley garage door keypad, the device is ready to accept a new access code.

Need to know how to reset keypad for garage door.

If you pressed and immediately released the smart/learn button and then walked over to the keypad and keyed in a 4 digit code and it doesn't work then the keypad is bad. The model number for the opener is on the door side of the motor unit and starts with 139.

I had to unplug the system and when I plugged it back up the keycode pad no longer works i want to reset it

This isn't a normal occurrence. The keypad doesn't need to be reset because you unplugged something. You can try programming it anyway by locating the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit. Press and immediately release this button and then walk over to your keypad and key in your four digit code and press enter. Be sure to also check the battery inside the keypad.

How do I reset my keypads outside? My battery

There is no reset. You can try programming it and see if that works. If not it is probably dead.

On the rear of the motor unit you will find the smart/learn button. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to your keypad and key in your four digit code and press enter.
