F26 Drain pump triac failure This error code is displayed when the main electronic controller fails to detect the triac that controls the outlet drain pump during the wash cycle.
  • Check pressure switch contacts and connectors

I have an electrolux ewf1074 it drains for a few seconds then says error43 i just fixed the handle and new door i ve tried resetting tried differ cycles no luck


E43 - Interlock power supply triac faulty. Problems with the component (triac) which actions the door interlock (3-contact device or 4-contact device depending of appliance).
Could be: Door interlock faulty; wiring faulty; PCB faulty.
also could be both: PCB and door interlock

Disadvantage of appliances managed by electronic is the short circuit of any load (drain pump, circulation pump, thermistor, motor, heating element .....etc.) can destroy the electronic.
Experience has taught me that in the event of a short circuit is always good practice to visually check the place of electronic where is the connected load under short circuit.

Won't drain. Already replaced the drain pump and checked for clogs. Still doesn't drain.


Dose the pump run?
If not
Is the pump getting power?
if not
Check the triac on the cpu
If OK check pressure switch

A02 = Heater Relay open circuit/short circuit or Thermistor or Safety T/Stat o/c or s/c or Element machine fills to Level Switch & Wash Pump runs.

A03 = Thermistor open circuit /short circuit - machine drains until Level Switch resets +1minute

A04 = Unable to sense/reach temperature in 70mins. - machine drains until Level Switch resets + lminute

A05 = Level Switch not resetting in within 3' 20" of drain commencing - machine drains until Level Switch resets +1 minute

A06 = Not used see also H20 at end

A07 = Wash pump Triac closed/open circuit - check that Drain Pump is not disconnected or Aquastop operated
