Question about Samsung DV410AER Electric Dryer
I can start the spin by hand, and then it runs fine. Belt and tension springs are great, could this be a capacitor? If so, I cannot seem to find one to replace it, could they be referred to as something else?
Could be the start windings in the motor, most dryers dont have a external capacitor

Check to make sure your child lock is off first. Hold the time and signal buttons simultaneously for three seconds. Unlikely, but do check. Some of these dryers have a safety switch that the idler pulley has to engage to allow the dryer to run. I tried to find a schematic for this model but could not get one to tell if you do have a safety switch. Look at the arm of the idler pulley and see if it is contacting the switch actuator correctly. When a belt breaks or pops off, sometimes the arm of the pulley will move to the other side of the switch actuator and will not allow the dryer to run once a belt is reistalled. I would also look to see if a wire was knocked off of the motor switch when your belt came off. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

It sounds to me like the drive belt that goes around your dryer tub has broken.
The back of the dryer will need to be removed to gain access to the problem.
