SOURCE: Canon Canoscan LiDE 110 When I

Hi there and Welcome to Fixya.

Here are my recommendations that you can try. First, download and save this updated driver to your desktop:

Canon Drivers

Then, please ensure the following:

  • Install the printer driver(from original disc) before connecting the scanner to your PC
  • Then goto Start > Control Panel > Printers. Right click and uninstall all scanners you find there. Restart computer.
  • Then double click on the file(s) you downloaded and install it.
  • After installing your printer driver, shut down computer and then connect your printer to the computer and then power on the printer.
  • Now start the computer and computer should be able to identify the scanner.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa

SOURCE: internal error occured code: 5,202,52 after

Perhaps you have forgotten to unplug the scanner before
scanning? That's what happened to me. I kept getting
different error codes, 5,202,63 or 5,202,52 or 5,202,54 and
also a message that the driver was not in the TWAIN folder.
According to the help file the problem might have been due
to my nfts file system. I also tried downloading various
new drivers. Nothing helped until I noticed that I had not
unplugged the scanner!

Why do I get an error message: Internal error occurred. Scan driver will be closed. Code:5,202,52?

Look at the bottom of the scanner and there should be a lock/unlock slider. Unlock it and see what happens.
If it is already unlocked then the drive/stepper motor or belt is bad.

I installed the new Canon LiDE 110 scanner drivers. When I click on the Scan button, it gives the error msg: Cannot Communicate with scanner. Cable may be disconnected. Scanner driver will be closed

I was getting that same error message, every second time I tried to scan something. I had the scanner connected to a USB 3.0 jack. I switched to USB 2.0 jack, and the problem was solved.

Error 5,202,52 on scanner canon lide 110

TO ANYONE READING THIS...I nearly took a hammer and smashed my Canon LIDE 110 Scanner cause I was so mad that it gave me this stupid error (5,202,52) no matter where I was connecting it and I thought it was done...

THEN I just took another USB Cable (Like I have around 10 different USB Cables) ...AND IT WORKED! Try several USB cables before you give up on it...also don't start messing around with drivers and stuff, you could end up screwing up your system like I did...

I hope this helps someone out there in the future with error 5,202,52 or 5,202,54, etc.

Try at least 4-5 different USB cables before anything else..

(If you want to know, I successfully used the USB cable with one of the fat black circle things on it (I think its for power or something), not just a straight usb cable. It's still a 5 pin USB cable however (Regular USB on one side, small 5 pin connecter on the other side))
