Sounds like your Backlight Inverter Board is going out, saw one on ebay for about $55 : ) have to get the one for your model tho...

i have a l32wd22 rca -----went out -- the plug from the power cord to the power supply [ a two prong jack on the side of power supply was loose]
i bent the pins slightly then plug it back in and also taped it in place---now it works fine

It is the capacitors on the power supply...They blew on ours...took it in a they replaced 7 for less than 100.00. Common problem with this tv because it gets hot. Hope that helps.

When I turn on My RCA L40fhd41 40" television, the LCD screen constantly blinks on and off like a strobe light. The power light stays on constantly, but the screen continues to blink
