Sanyo TV DS 19390 Loud Buzzing

TV repair shop says this is capacitor & will cost $40 to fix. My mother didn't want to fix it so I'm wanting to know if I can buy part and fix. I was also wanting to know where I could find a free schematic. I've read that others with same problem bought part for $3 to $6. I also have read that TV's hold electrical current for several days after being unplugged. How long before it is safe or where to avoid touching? Thanks for any solution or advice that could be given.

Our 47in Vizio TV has a wierd buzzing sound coming from it only when its turned on.

A buzzing sound is usually a component in a power section usually a capacitor. It can be something in the audio but those tend to make other noises as well.

This is going to be a repair shop fix unfortunately. It is large enough and should be new enough that you should have warranty. You want to make sure about any warranty coverage either extended store or oem. Depending on what is actually wrong they may have to replace a main board to fix this. That will cost as much as a new tv does. So you want to get a repair estimate before committing to any repairs. And you want to know what a new replacement tv will cost so you have a guide on if it is worth repairing.

Talk to the store where you purchased, have your reciept handy as you may need it. They may be able to help you with talking to the repair depot. If you have to use the support contact numbers for Visio. Just click on the support button on the webpage

I plug it in and it shows its plugged in but when i turn it on it makes this buzzing nois and then turns on and off super fast. and just keeps making a buzzing noise

That sounds like it has a problem with the power supply section. You'll need to find the authourized repair depot for your make and model, get a estimate from them (don't forget to add in shipping etc) Then see if you can find a local tv repair shop to give you an estimate. Next find out what a new replacement tv would cost. That will give you some numbers to figure out if it is worth fixing. Generally the newer/bigger it is the better chance its worth fixing. The buzzing could be capacitors or other parts in the power section. Some shops will be able to just replace these and others will want to change the entire board out (more $$) which is why you want as many estimates as you can get. If the repair price gets too close to the new price then don;t try to save a few dollars get the new one. The old may have other problems that will show up and a new tv has a warrenty.

Loud buzzing sound on Sanyo AVM 1909

I had a problem like that so I disabled the tv's onboard tuner (input source)and now we use the cablebox's video and audio out to the video and video in jacks on the TV this will work as long as you have a cable box or sat reciever for your video and audio source and of course your TV must have video and audio inputs so it will work.

Good luck Rich

Loud buzzing sound which is getting louder than the speaking

Most likely a capacitor going bad. If it gets louder after the TV had warmed up for a while, remove the back and blow all the dust off the circuit boards. While you're in there, look for a capacitor (google if you don't know what that is) right next to or touching another component, especially a resistor. Carefully bend it away a little to reduce heat transfer. If it's not a heat-related issue, it'd likely cost more than the TV is worth to have a repair shop fix it. Consider running the audio through a separate sound system. If it buzzes even with the TV volume turned all the way down, disconnect the internal speakers.

My Sanyo DP46848 LCD TV display goes black when turned on.

My mother's was doing the same thing (purchased 2008). Put up with it about 6 months and took it to a repair shop. Bottom line - the display panel has a flaw in and will cost more to replace than the tv cost. See about it now it yours is still under warranty.

We have perfect sound but only a thin horizontal line in the middle of the screen.

this is a capacitor that has gone bad in the vertical delfection stage of the tv. it is an very easy and cheap fix if you know someone who knows how to solder and replace electronic components. If not then you'll just have to get another tv as taking it into a tv repair shop is not worth the cost. You could get another tv for what they will charge you to repair it,

Loud buzzing noise when turning on

It sounds like a bad internal connection or a component failing. If the picture still is very good take it to a known good repair shop.

Sanyo tv ds25390 buzzing sound

I had the same problem with the same model.
The solution was to replace a capacitor, C622, which is located near
a small blue rectangular plastic component.
This component is a relay that is controlled by C622. I paid $2.39 for
the part, $8.99 for S&H for a total of $11.38. This fixed my problem!

Have the speakers ever been played loudly? They may have been pushed passed their capacity, in which case, it may be time for a new tv.
