Did you try to reset all settings as told in the manual on page 12?
Press the (mode) and (on/off) buttons simultaneously for approx. 2 sec. to reset all settings, including the custom settings (except the distance unit selected in m/ft) to their default values. If the problem stays, please check you finnished your repais correct. (nothing lose in the unit and no cables switched, no false connections)
You have a K402000 radar system. The double beep is a rear receiver disconnect notification. If you go to the K40 website and access their dealer locator from the dealer section, you can find an authorized dealer to help you with this problem or you can call K40 directly and speak to them...they really are a great company to deal with.
Either your reed switch is bad or your antenna is not rotating. You may hear the motor spinning but that does not mean the array is. If the array is not spinning make sure the belt did not come off the motor. Start there.
It sounds like voltage loss could be your issue. You need to find the "Y" cable under the dashboard and measure the voltage at the point where it connects to the main 12V supply. Keep the meter on and then spin up the radar. If there is a fuse (there should be) make sure you are measuring on the radar side of the fuse. If the voltage drops off as the radar slows, you have found your problem. If the voltage stays constant and the connections are sound at the terminations in the radar pedestal, I would recommend you send the pedestal in to Raymarine.
Operator panel display blank, five beeps, and LED off Service tip: The printer has detected a problem with the system card, the operator panel assembly cable (part of the top cover access assembly), or the operator panel assembly if POST does not complete. The printer emits five beeps, and sticks in a continuous pattern until the printer is turned off. Is this what you are getting?
if the beep is one beep every 30 secs then the front radar detector is defective. If it beeps 2x every 30 secs the rear radar detector is defective. If under warrantee you are good. If not, take to any dealer and cost $225 to get it replaced.
Series of images is the KEY. If the Power you set the SB-600 is HIGH it will take a LONGER time to recycle than the SB-800. If you try to take a photo before the SB-600 is ready you will get a dark image. The randomness you get is due to the time between shots. In general try to run remote flashes at a lower power so they recycle faster.
I like the SB-800 because it can take 5 cells. 5 cells can really make a difference in the recycle time (faster) The SB-600 only takes 4 cells so it is slower.
