Good Morning renee kelley, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!

Good Afternoon Jason, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
I understand your Frigidaire freezer is not cooling and displaying "OFF" on the door. It appears that the temperature control is in the OFF position. When this occurs the temperature control turns off the compressor, but does not disconnect the power to the light bulb or other electronics. Let's try activating the freezer by pressing the UP arrow until display shows "4" or desired setting. Allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize. For future reference you can lock the control to keep from accidently changing the temperature setting. I hope these troubleshooting tips help you in some small way. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your freezer status has changed successfully.

You have a Kenmore upright, which you set on ZERO? WHY?
Every time you open the door all of the cold air falls out and it has to start over in the cool down cycle, the fan stops to NOT push all of the COLD out while the door is open - you should consult a professional. Not for the freezer, for your ability to understand.

Refrigerator not cold

You say refrigerator SIDE not cold? You would expect the outside panels of a refrigerator to be around room temperature or warmer as the fridge removes heat from inside the cabinet and expels it outside. If you mean the inside of the fridge is not cold then check the door seals are sealing correctly around the door frame. You could also check that there is nothing inside the fridge protruding and therefore inhibiting the closure of the door correctly.

Frigidaire mod.#affu2067ew2. Gasket snug and clean. Exterior door is very cold alot of condensate. Gasket is dry but door is wet.

sounds most likely didn't get a good fill in the foaming machine the fills the door cavities wiht insulation. I've been in a refigerator plant and seen it happen. They are supposed to be checked. Tap various places around the outside of the door to see if there is a hollow sound. It could just be around the outside edges of the door unless the whole door is cold.

Fridge not working but freezer is ok fridge light works

There is probably an ice build up between the two sides of the appliance. There may also be a problem with the damper unit which controls the cold air coming from the freezer side to the fridge. The fridge is controlled by the freezer. Dependant on appliance. The door opens and closes letting the cold air go into the fridge and when the fridge is cold enough the door will close agin. This is not something that you will see happening it is normally concealed behing a diffuser.

There is frost in the freezer. I thought it was frostless.

If you live in a humid environment its the water vapor in the air that is turning to frost in your freezer. Every time you open the door you are exchanging the cold dry air in your freezer for the humid air on the outside, and when you shut the door closed its this humid air that turns to frost inside the freezer. If its building up frost faster than normal you might have a door gasket that is leaking the cold air outside thus letting the humid air in, which is turning to frost. Check that your door is aligned properly and that the gasket is secure on the freezer door.

Hope this helps explain it.

GE Upright Freezer problem/door

The door seal is damaged or the hindge alignment have allowed the warm air to enter and the cold air to leak out the of the freezer. Look and feel around the door for the cold air and check the top and bottom hinges to make sure they haven't become loose. Look for tears also around the seal because this will do the same thing. Let me know what you find. JT
