SOURCE: Lamp reset
This also works for the Panasonic PT-61LCX65. You hold the volume button down on the projection display, then hold down the Split/ DVD button on the remote control at the same time. I just did it after reading the advice posted. Thank you!

While TV is on, simultaneously press and hold both the TV's Volume Down button and the remote's PP/Play button for 7 seconds.

on the tv itself push the volume down button and at the same time using the remote control press the pip button. I just did this on my tv - had the same problem. it worked perfectly. Jeanne

if you do not have the (PIP) button on your remote look for for the (split) button and try the volume down and (PIP/split) trick again. it worked for me!! good luck..

Usually you hold Vol - on the tv itself and press and hold down the pip or split buttom for 5 seconds until lamp reset is displayed on screen set to 0 and thats it
