The best batteries are ones you re charge they are most likely to be AA batteries. and to transmit just turn on pick a channel and press the button to talk and let go to hear

Binatone Action 1000 one of the radios shuts down when I press the transmit button ? Any answers. Battery life is fine. I have to switch the unit back on to listen to chit chat...

Actually, it is still most likely the battery. Transmit takes a lot of battery power while listening or "standby" takes very little. That symptom is what happens with a bad battery. By the way, we call a bad battery one that will not let the walkie talkie transmit. Other than the battery, the unit could be "asking" for more power during transmit and only a dealer could adjust that.

Kenwood Protalk tk-3200U8P will receive, but not transmit. When talk button is push a loud beep will sound. Any suggestions?

Assuming it is programmed correctly, it is a weak, undercharged or bad battery. Transmit takes a lot more power than receive. A beep or no transmit, even if the Transmit light comes on can still mean the battery condition described.

No hdmi

check the source which gives you the signal for the hdmi! for an example, if you hook up you lap-top via hdmi with the tv, there is a setting on the lap-top and you choose: 1. transmit picture, 2. transmit sound, or do not transmit anything.

Flashing red light on radio where it thinks its recieving. Transmits fine but does not recieve.

Three things come to mind:
1) The radio is receiving, hence the light, but you may have a different PL code than the other radio and it is muting the transmission. Check your programming to be certain both radios are programmed alike. The red light indicates activity on your frequency.
2) Your radio may have a problem with the receive side of the radio or a bad speaker.
3) The transmitting radio may have a problem with transmit. This can be a sign of a bad battery. Swap batteries and see if the problem moves to the other radio. If so, replace the battery. (It takes more energy to transmit than to receive, so loss of transmit is common with a bad battery.)
Best regards.

Hello i have a yaesu ft-2900 it receives just fine but when i transmit it shows error. this radio is brandnew

Hi Gerald,

When you say you used the software to download frequencies, do you mean as in from the internet, or did you have to input frequencies via the software on your PC?

There is a difference, that's the reason I ask.

If, by using the software you manually input the frequencies, then did you input both the output and input frequencies or just output for each channel?

If the latter is true, and you are trying to access another user via a repeater, then that is the error.

Repeaters generally, require both the input frequency = the frequency you transmit on, and the output = the frequency you receive on.

Without both frequency pair, you won't be getting out, and no won can hear you, as you are basically transmitting as a simplex station on a repeater allocatted channel, hence the error message on your display.

The radio you have is used by many amateurs & CB operators, and both group utilise repeaters within their allocated spectrum, excluding 27 meg CB, which is simplex only, but with SSB included.

I hope this answers your query.

Best regards,
Peter

One of the motorola radios has a lowgrade constant noise when the other is transmitting, I can hear transmissions from the other but cannot transmit

It is possibly a bad or very low battery. It takes more energy to transmit than to receive. So typically when you have a failing battery you will experience no transmit, but receive is okay. Constant, or low grade static is also a sign of a bad battery. Simple test to see if it is the battery, swap the batteries between the two radios and see if the problem moves to the other radio.

Best regards.

WHEN I USED ACC2 PIN 11 AND PIN 12 FOR INPUT AUDIO BUT THERE IS NOTHING MODULATION COMING OUT.\r\n WHAT IS SOLUTION MANY THANKS YE7YE

I too had a similar issue, I found this:

For the TS570, the audio input on ACC2 is ONLY active when the TNC PTT line is connected to ground. This also disables the front panel microphone input (and the digital storage unit). There is another PTT line on the ACC2 connector which is essentially paralleled with the microphone switch. This is useful for a footswitch when running SSB contest style, but cannot be used for PSK input through ACC2. The RS232 interface can be used to turn on the transmitter for regular microphone audio, but not for ACC2 input audio.
The bottom line is, in order to use the ACC2 audio input for psk, you MUST use the ACC2 TNC PTT signal to transmit. The microphone PTT, the front panel "transmit" button, and the RS232 transmit command will not work.

Hisses/squeals when transmitting

Check the input voltage into the radio while in transmit. The voltage maybe dropping as you go into transmit which causes it to drop into receive. That in turn allows the voltage to come back up. With your finger still on the PTT it tries to transmit again, etc. This could cause a feedback squeal and other symptoms.
