Head fell off a new Dalen Gardeneer srho-4 solar rotating head owl I recently purchased. I am unable to reattach the head so that it will once again operate as advertised. I did not find any broken pieces of the rotating mechanism under the head. Can you help to repair.

How to remove the head of a Giottos camera tripod

Most tripods have a 1/4" thread attached to the centre column, which then screws into the base of the head (some may have a 3/8" thread, but the principle is the same).
Grasp the head firmly in one hand, the shaft firmly in the other, and rotate the head counter clockwise to remove the old head. If it has been in situ for some time, it may be stiff to rotate.
Once you have removed the old head, lubricate the threads on the centre column, then attach the new head, rotating this one clockwise.
If the old head will not unscrew under firm manual pressure, remove the centre column and place in a vice, packing it with wooden battens to protect it. Then attempt to unscrew the head, using a mole grip or similar if necessary.

Limerick based on Lears nursery rhymes

There was an Old Man with a beard,
Who said, "It is just as I feared!-
Two Owls and a Hen,
four Larks and a Wren,
Have all built their nests in my beard."

There was a Young Lady of Ryde,
Whose shoe-strings were seldom untied.
She purchased some clogs,
And some small spotted dogs,
And frequently walked about Ryde.

There was an old man in a tree,
Whose whiskers were lovely to see;
But the birds of the air,
Pluck'd them perfectly bare,
To make themselves nests on that tree.

not terribly good in my opinion

My Salter Electronic scale (3007) got soaked and is giving incorrect / unstable readings. I am trying to take it apart ASAP to dry the board, contacts, etc. but cannot work out how to detach the weighing...

The weighing pad mates with a circular metal plate underneath and needs to be rotated clockwise to unclip from the metal plate. Peel back the lower right corner of the instruction label on the bottom. This reveals a hole through which a philips head screwdriver needs to be inserted to loosen a screw which then allows the weighing pad to be rotated. The screw only needs to be loosened, not removed.

I purchased a philips norelco 8150XL shaver and have been using it for a month. I hit the power button one day and heard a click sound, but no rotation of blades. When I pop the head of the shaver, motor...

It sounds like one of the heads is damaged and causing it to 'lock up'. Remove each of the heads one at a time and turn the blade inside of the comb with your fingers. They should move freely. I suspect that one will not rotate. If this is the case, you will need a new set of heads. You will find them at See link belwo

It is also possible that the retainer could be installed wrong. Make sure that the heads are in proper position and that the retainer is undamaged and put correctly in place
