To view past history in IE9 simply press Ctrl+Shift+H when the IE9 window is selected. If that did not work or you need clarification just let me know!

Perform the following tasks: Disable and Remove Add-ons Delete Browsing and Download History Automatically Delete Browsing History When You Close IE9 Delete Cookies Delete Temporary Internet Files Remove third party tool-bars If problem still exists then use system utility tool Reginout for an instant fix.
The only thing I know that you can do to Chrome, which is a small but efficient web browsing program, is to uninstall it and reinstall the latest version. If it still does this, maybe test another browser like ie9 or Apple's Safari to see if the problem can be duplicated there.
