SOURCE: lenovo g530 4151 - restore bios from USB or CD ?

Hi, What I would best sugget you if you this kind of issue is to restore your system to its original settings, just look for the small button just beside the power button on your keyboard, it has an arching arrow logo, that key is what we called One Key Recovery that would restore your system to its original factory settings. but just a hint it would also delete everything on your computer so consider bucking up every important files taht you have before proceeding with the recovery. also make sure that the ac adapter is plugin before you press the one key recovery button then it will give the options to choose from, just choose one key recovey then proceed with the factory default recovery, thats it it would now proceed with the system factory default restoration. If you still need some clarifications regarding this issue you could also call the tech support hotline of lenovo

Lenovo n586 cant reset bios

i don't have a solution ... but i do need one for the n586 also... i bought it on line the description said that the internal screen will not display and the external does... when i received it and going threw diagnostics i came across a system password in the bios... i have worked on lenovos in the past and i know they have some weird settings in the bios to begin with ... i believe this is a security feature that shuts off the internal screen... will not charge the battery... and will not recognize a fresh install of windows (but will read windows on a hard drive that is preloaded) if i was to try to install windows fresh it will not see the hard drive... i need either a schematic to trace down the eeprom chip,or to locate the cmos jumper(not clearly marked if it has one) OR the original bios flash because there isnt any updates for that yet ...... P4vvm2 bios update file

Your drivers can be found here: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?&DocID=HT072735 BE ADVISED: A BIOS update cannot be reversed easily , READ the instructions VERY carefully. One wrong step and you have a expensive paperweight.

I have a IBM Lenovo r500 laptop and I am having trouble loading windows 7 on it. I have updated the bios but it has worked since then. Now I am having error messages trying to reinstall it on a clean...

Yes! it could be, is the window 7 a upgrade disc? the reason I ask it will detect the previous version and install, but if the hard drive has been completely formatted it won't install on empty hardware. If that is not the issue go into bios and reset to factory default it might make the difference.

Laptop will not charge battery. Issue with internal power converter, etc.

The motherboard has charging circuits built in to regulate the charge to the main battery, in rare causes it fails leaving a choice to attempt a repair or replace the motherboard. I suspect this is what has happened to your system.

Forget BIOS Password (Laptop - IBM Thinkpad Lenovo R60)

For that you need to reset factory defaults settings for bios.
For reset bios u have to open back side of your laptop then u find motherbord circuit there.
pull cmos cell on motherbord for 15 minute then it reset to defaults.
Also u can reset with jumper settigns read carefully on mother bord there is 1 jumper near cmos cell u read there " bios reset or clear"
It is on 1-2 position right now set it in 2-3 position then power up then all bios settings are reset.
then again set it in 1-2 its original position.
