Are you certain your laptop is fully functional? Sometimes a faulty hard disk or a virus, just 2 examples, can cause these kind of problems.

Perhaps your system specification is not suitable for Windows 8.1, what is your systems specification?

SOURCE: Dell Inspiron 6000 monitor display problem

Well it is most likely a issue with the Video driver as you are able to boot to the safe mode.I would suggest going back to the safe mode and deleting the present driver for the video from the device manager.before you restart the system just download the latest version from the support.dell.com so that you can reinstall it.Also check in the graphic properties which screen is set to be the defuat.Incase still not working i would suggest reinstalling the operating system before replacing any hardware.

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&SystemID=INS_PNT_PM_1525&os=WLH&osl=en

Nominally you might get a more accurate answer by going to support.dell.com and entering the 'service tag' number (on the bottom of your machine next to the 'express service code'.

This machine also includes a field in the BIOS setup program; hit the F2 key when you see the Dell logo to start the BIOS setup program.

Win8 is very data hungry. Nearly everything you do requires an internet connection.
Go to a better bundle or use Win XP or Win7

Disable num lock

Deskop or Laptop seems to be a contradiction >????

The num lock (number or numeric lock) can become annoying if you tend to accidentally hit the num lock key on your laptop and turn it on or off.
Disabling the num lock completely involves editing the system registry.
Before performing such edits, always save and back up your computer information in case you make a mistake, as the system registry controls many aspects of your computer's operation.
Once you have disabled the num lock on your laptop, you must edit the system registry again to re-enable that function.

Close all windows and programs that are running on your computer.
Press the "Windows" key and the "R" key simultaneously to open the "Run" dialog box.

Type "regedit" without the quotation marks, then press "Enter."
Click the "+" symbol next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then select the "+" symbol next to "Control Panel."
Click on "Keyboard."
Double-click "IntitialKeyboardIndicators."
Enter "0" (the number zero) in the "Value Data" field to disable the num lock after logon, or enter "1" (the number one) to disable the num lock entirely.
Click "OK," then close the registry by clicking the "X" in the upper right corner of the registry window.
Restart your computer.
To re-enable num lock, follow the same process, but change the "Value Data" to "2."

Cannot open other application when log-in to skype. tried to uninstall and install skype, still have the same problem

Why can't you open, are you getting a message or is the CPU/Memory maxing out? Try shutting down unnecessary processes. If you open the Task Manager, Performance tab, is the CPU running at or near 100% when this occurs? Try this freeware program to disable unnecessary startup programs: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ This freeware program has many useful tools, use the cleaner and registry to remove the junk and free up disk space. In the TOOLS section, select STARTUP and disable ALL unnecessary startup programs, also in the STARTUP section, go through the tabs and disable all unnecessary browser add ons. In the UNINSTALLER remove ALL unnecessary toolbars , they are killers on browser speed. If you don't have freeware MALWAREBYTES: http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ In the install UNCHECK the TRIAL PRO version, you want the freeware version, run a FULL scan, delete ALL results and reboot. Open the Control Panel, select Power Options, select High Performance, select Change Plan Settings, set Sleep to Never, open Change Advanced Power settings, set Hibernate to Never, set others to your preference. Always shut down the Laptop when not in use, a reboot everyday will reset everything. Use these tip to speed up Win 7: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2364937,00.asp

Best free download to clean up my laptop

No ONE program will do all. Do all your Windows and HP Updates. I would suggest two freeware programs , 1, CCLEANER at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ This will clean the junk from your HP, you didn't supply the model or the OS you are using, In the TOOLS section, STARTUP section, Disable ALL unnessary startup programs, in UNINSTALL section, uninstall ALL unnessary/junk programs. 2, download MALWAREBYTES at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ In the install UNCHECK the TRIAL PRO version, you want the freeware version. Run a FULL Scan, Delete ALL results, Reboot. Open Control Panel , Power Options, set to High Performance. Open Internet Options, Programs tab, Manage Add ons, Toolbars and Extentions, Disable ALL toolbars and extentions not necessary, in Search Providers, remove ALL but google set as default, check boxes in bottom left. I will assume you are using Win 7, so I will add this: http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/10things/10-ways-to-speed-up-windows-7/3332 You can find many Freeware programs at FILEHIPPO: http://www.filehippo.com/ ,and MAJORGEEKS :http://majorgeeks.com/ Always shut down and unplug your laptop when not in use, a reboot everyday will reset the computer. For further assistance respond to this post.

I have i problem with my video card i cant find his setup compatible with win 8

I will assume you did a OS upgrade and didn't check compatibility with Win 8. Did you have Win Vista? Or Win 7 before? That said, drivers for the Video will be on the DELL website. SOMETIMES you can use Win 7 drivers. You may have to change compatibility of the drivers. You didn't say is you had Win 8 32 or 64bit?

ThMy Dell inspiron b120 couldn't shut down?

Stuck process. Use Ctrl-Alt-Del to see what is not responding, kill the process.

Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. In Startup tab, uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when only you initiate.

Very Poor Performance

This is more of a a suggestion:

Disable startup programs from loading in the first place. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig > Startup tab and uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. The more you remove the faster. It's very safe to disable items here, because they will start next time you use the application(s).

Dell d410 laptop has a locked mousepad and when I turn it on.

The led, is indicating that the Numlock is engaged on the keyboard.
If the touchpad stops responding but keyboard inputs work, then the touchpad is either failed or disabled. If the keyboard is none responsive too, then the operating system has locked up and that is an entirely different issue. If the OS is locking up, try booting to SAFE Mode from the F8 menu and see if you can access anything. If still locking in Safe mode, you may end up installing Windows Again. If Safe mode works, then you can check event logs and edit MSCONFIG startup group and the like to find the SW issue
