Question about Saeco Vienna SuperAutomatica Coffee Maker/Espresso Machine

Saeco Vienna. Doesn't heat water or produce steam

My Saeco isn't heating water or producing steam anymore. The coffee comes out cold even if I let the machine warm up for 15 minutes. I've checked the fuses and they seem fine. I've checked the voltage going into the boiler and it seems fine at 230v (I live in south africa). Everything seems fine but its cold and when I run steam all I get is squirts of cold water. Please help, need coffee :)

The heating element is most likely at fault.

If it's the element itself, no. They will usually develop a pinhole in them and need to be replaced. You could also open the top and make sure you have power all the way up to the point of the heating element. Depending on the model, it may have a transistor that is faulty, which is much easier and cheaper to replace.

The o-rings of the water tube coming out of the boiler need to be changed. Rubber O-ring tend to expand after extended exposure to heat.

My machine has stopped producing hot water. The lights don't even flash to show it's heating up when I switch it on, it just goes straight to ready mode & then when I brew some coffee it comes out...

Either your coffee boiler elements are damaged or the thermostats on there are damaged or tripped, use an ohms meter to check element and thermostats.

Cannot produce steam

The machine have a separate heating system for steam than hot water for steam. The steam system it might be full of scale. If you hand are good you can easily remove top panel and side panel. You can follow the teflon pipe from the steam wand and it will lead you to the steam solenoid valve and the small copper steam heating system and desasemble it both the valve and small boiler and remove any scale and dirt from it using a wire brush, shurp screwdriver and similar tool. Then poot them back together. You can try the machine with panel removed so if it needs something more to try once more again. One small tip advice. Use your camera and make pictures of everything before desasemble them, then you are safe if you forget about something. In this way you can clean everything metalic that the water pass though.

I've owned this saeco vienne de lux for about 3

Hi
When was the last time you descaled the machine? Scale will build up inside the boiler and insulate the water from the heating elements. The thermostat is on the outside by the heating elements so it gets hot but your water is warm. There are other things but check this first.

Water is leaking into the drip tray.

Clean the chamber below the white plastic valve, there is also a small discharge that leads from there into the drain tray clean that hole also.
Second the thermostat that controls the steam may be damaged or the cpu board, the contact the controls the steam may be damaged, i have seen both of those happen on some units.

THE Machine is not heating the water.

You may have a restricted flow meter. If the flow meter does not spin when you open the steam knob the boiler won't heat. A chip of bean that got into the water receptacle and when the water tank was replaced the chip flowed to the flow meter and restricted it. Now it won't spin and the boiler won't heat.
