There are ways to configure router:
1. Is by using Installer using a CD came with it or
2. Access routers Graphical User Interface (GUI) through Internet browser. Just type in on the address bar the IP address of your router. For dlink it has a default IP of 192.168.1.0.

Note:
Before accessing router configuration make sure that the yellow cord (ethernet cable) is connected directly from the router to your computer.

Reset my dlink dir 615 router and now internet light stays flashing orange

Do you have the Internet connected to the Internet port in the back of the DLINK? You will have to configure the DLINK for internet access. Open a web browser to your DLINK and check on the configuration under internet-setup. Select the type of internet connection you have i.e. DHCP, PPPoE, Static, etc. Once that is set up, you should have access to the internet like before.

I have configured my DLink dual band router as well as my usb adapter. On my connection manager it says it is at 100 %, but my internet access is not avaialable. I have a yellow house and am not able to...

Hi,

IF it says you are connected wireless, you are connected the DLink router. But the DLink router is not configured properly. If you connect your pc directly to the modem and goes online then that is a proof that the DLink is not properly setup. There is a possible IP conflict between the modem and router. I suggest you change the IP address of the router to 10.10.10.1 .

Dlink router, Dell laptop - no connectivity - won't renew IP

resetting netsh was a good start. I would suggest starting with pulling the power on the router for about 5 to 10 minutes and then plugging it back in. give it a couple of minutes to reconnect to the modem and then try connecting to it again wirelessly. I had an issue with my dlink gigabit that stumped me and a cold reboot was the only thing that worked

Installed dlink, says hardware is not found. power light is also off.

Hello,

If all lights on dlink are off, start by check the power supply. If its connected from the wall to the dlink and still the light are off.
  1. The power supply is bad
  2. The AC from the wall has no current. Check for these.
When you succesfully turn on the dlink, connect the cables as directed. by the manual.

Dlink problem

If those light are all lit up and WLAN is OFF there's a big possibility that the device is getting bad, first thing to do here is to reset it , to reset the unit Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds using a pen for about 30 seconds while the power is ON, then after that release the reset button and unplug the power of the router for 10 seconds and hopefully after that the lights should be back to normal but if not you may need to contact Dlink or get a new router instead...

Wireless router

Yes, you can use wireless router with the modem. I guess the actiontech DSl router that you have is also Wireless one. If so, you can use just the DSL router for wireless connection. If you really want to use Dlink router with it, Connect the ( WAN port ) of the Dlink router to the ( LAN Port ) of the Action tech modem [ modem(LAN)-->Dlink(WAN) ]. Once you do this connection, better to do power cycle ( unplug the pwr to the dlink first, then, disconnect the pwr to action tech - wait 1min and plug the pwr to modem, wait for DSL light to be solid , then put the pwr back to dlink ). Make sure DSL light on the modem solid, internet light & WLAN light on the link glowing.
- Make Hardwire connection between the computer to Dlink and check the ip address on the computer whether it acquires the ip address from Dlink and then check the internet connection on the computer, it has to work. if computer not getting ip from dlink, try restarting computer.
- If hardwire connection on the dlink works fine and check the wireless connection.

please feel free to ask, if you have any more assistance.
