Cannot get Hunter stat 44155c that is connected to a Rheem 1210b to shut off after the stat reaches the set temp. How is an original 7 wire connected to the Hunter stat?

y is to condensor contactor wire
c is common
r is power
w/w1 heat strips
o/b reversing valve
e/w2/aux heat strip also
g is blower

For a rheem unit, make sure reversing vavle is set for "B" not O.
Blower may run for up to 120 seconds after shut off. My experience with hunter stats are not good (even out of box). Recommend honeywell tsat.

New heat pump system freezing, questioning wiring.

W1 and E on stat need tied together. When W1 comes on wire where all heat elements come on. On the outside unit defrost board set the 45-60-90 to 45 and see if that takes care of the frost problem.

I am tying to install an RTH6400 5 in 1 thermostat but the colors of wires i have on my wall are RED, GREEN, BLUE AND BLACK, where as the book has RED , YELLOW,WHITE AND BLUE. please which do i connect to...

You need to open up the panel at your furnace(air handler) and find the terminal strip and see what your existing thermostat wires are connected to. Normally your red wire connects to the R terminal(24 volts), the yellow wire to the Y1 terminal(cooling), the white wire to the W1 terminal(heating), the green wire to the G terminal(indoor fan). You can use whatever color of wire you have existing, just make sure that the R,W1,Y1,and G wires at the furnace match the R,W1,Y1, and G terminal screws at the thermostat. Also make sure the power to the furnace(air handler) is turned off before you make any wiring connections at the thermostat or furnace. This is very important! If you don't and you short any wires to ground(especially the R wire) you will possibly ruin the system step down transformer or blow the low voltage fuse.

How to network

You need to go to the microsoft website or use windows help. If you come accross a certain problem we can help but to walk you through a whole networking process is a little much. Though it is pretty self explanitory. Set up all the computers the same Wired and wireless will be different of course but not too much jst a couple extra steps for the wireless is all. Let me know if you get any questions

Installing a stat to a furnance

You need a 7 conductor minimum, 8 will suffice.

Depending on what type of thermostat you are using, hard wired or battery will make a difference, some model thermostats have a "C" on the terminal strip regardless of the power being supplied to the thermostat. If your Thermostat does NOT have a "C", and the furnace does not require a common, then disregard that terminal.
The Terminal strip on the thermostat and the terminal board on the furnace should be close to this, and let’s assume you have 2 stages of cooling as well. This is a general rule of thumb for the wiring and their correct place.

R - 24VAC
W - Heat
G- Fan
Y - Cooling
W1- Stage 2 Heat
Y1 - Stage 2 Cooling
C - Common

Control dial -W1

needs replacement! In warranty no problem, otherwise you will have to pay maybe not too much. On your own you may try to disassemble it and try cleaning the contact brushes and metal stripes. Problem may be caused by dirt.
