Vizio 37 inch channels and volume changing on its own
When I press the channel button on my remote once, the tv goes through all the channels and won't stop unless I press exit. When I press the volume up once, it goes up to 100 and when i press down, the volume goes down to zero. At first I thought the remote was broken, but I used the buttons built onto the TV and the same things happen to that. Do I need to replace parts for my tv?

Re: Vizio 37 inch channels and volume changing on its own
The circuit or integrated circuit being controlled has likely failed.
You might try 'resetting' it by pulling the AC plug overnight.
If that has no effect, a repair is unavoidable.
This model seems to be developing a number of different problems.

What you got here is common. The issue is the controller under the volume and channel and power butoons, This is defective!! your going to need to have the tv serviced. this part cost $75-90 bucks the labor may vary in your area. Please do be considerate as you recieved this info FREE when leaving feedback and ratings today.
ie menu = Menu
Channel up/down = take you up and down
volume = goes left and right.
follow these steps
channel down button to CHANNEL
press the volume button along
channel down button to AUTO STORE
press the volume button to Start the scan.
right now you have your telly tuned in. What you could do it get an old sky remote off a friend/ neighbour. or buy from argos etc ( a lot cheaper then getting a replacement samsung one)
press the following buttons on the sky remote to program it to work with your samsung tv.
RED + SELECT
try the volume if this works press SELECT to save this code if it doesnt press Tv then try the volume again. repeat this step until the volume works your telly. once it doest dont forget to press the SELECT button to save.
Now you will be able to change your volume use the number keys. if you also press the HELP button on the sky remote this will also change your AV / SOURCE I hope this post helps you out. When it does please leave a thumbs up for me Please
I cannot be sure of the exact model but... Press and hold the TV's volume up and volume down buttons simultaneously. On many older televisions, this opens the device menu without the use of a remote. Otherwise, use the menu button, which you can navigate in a similar fashion.
Also, somewhere should be an input button. Press it multiple times times to switch between various inputs (the input must match whatever input you are using). Usually after these menus are opened you can use vol up vol down to change things.
Check if the remote is in TV position, that is, because most of the remote controllers have the feature that you can program them for use with another devices. Make shure that one button that says "TV" in pressed and released once before you try to change any function on the TV.
