Chances are, you are trying to view on the station set for your VCR or other peripheral equipment, such as channel 3 or channel 4. You need to be sure that you have your TV set for on one of the two auxillary stations, instead, which will show up on your TV as "Aux 1" or "Aux 2."

There is a protection fuse inside your tV, which can be located at the power regulator section, to which the main power cable enters to the board. It is a class cartridge type, and can be replaced. Check it first. If found blown off, replace it with an other with same rating; which will be marked on its end metal caps. Never use an other rated one in place. Switch on your TV, while its back cover opened, and watch if the newely inserted fuse also blo up. if blow up, certainly there will be some short circuit inside the circuit board, which occured during power surge. Check these and inform me if the fuse blows again. I'll assist you further. Let me know the result by Fixya. OK.
