Light won't go off on my Milwaukee drill

Drains battery

It seems that no one has a solution for this. My drill is only a week old and started doing this today. I figured if it was a common problem (and it seems to be), someone would have a fix, or at least a response, online. So far, no luck.

SOURCE: milwaukee 18v battery

No, it's showing that the battery is either not taking a full charge or the charger is not charging the battery properly. Find a Milwaukee service center, they will check them and most likely replace one or the other.

SOURCE: How long I have to

Hi payomp,
There should not be any problems with letting it charge as long as you want, as they don't over charge. The charger usually cuts off so no damage is done to the battery. That is what I have found to be the case with most manufacturers. Hope this helps you out a bit. Regards and good luck. Denis.

My M18 Drill has an LED Light that does shut off when I let go of trigger.

That's the way the LED is supposed to operate. It comes on when you activate the trigger, and shuts off 10-seconds after you let go. It's a feature listed in the manual. Unfortunately, some of them seem to be staying on permanently, which does drain the battery, and no one seems to have a solution. Obviously, this is a flaw in the electronics governing the LED. Milwaukee should fix them for free.

I have 28v milwaukee tool kit and the batteries, both of them, went out at the same time. Strange! Upon charging the light on the charger blinks red and green. The batteries will not charge. Whats up with...

you can try and unplug the charger for a couple minutes and then retry. I have a LiIon at work and sometimes it does it also, if not then the batterys would probably be bad, I would contact Milwaukeetool.com and see about warranty replacement for these. They have a good warranty on the newer products.
