How can I remove the absorber to clean it? It's not like most inkjet printers, where you can remove the whole print head assembly.

There are a couple of things you can do. The simplest is to scrape as much of the waste ink cake of the sponges with a blade or spoon. Wrap it in plenty of paper and put it carefully in the rubbish/trash bin. The more complex method is to disassemble the machine so you can remove the cleaning station assembly. If you can do that, all you need do is take the cover off the waste assembly and take out the sponges. scrape off the bulk of the waste ink and then wash the sponges. Lots of hot water and RUBBER GLOVES. Clean them, dry them, replace them and put it all back together. You will need to get a long stem small star drive screwdriver to take everything apart.

How to clean a WMF 800 coffee machine with tablets and sponge

Normaly to clean a coffee machine like WMF 800 you have to use a tablet together with a small sponge to prevent that the brewing tool stick together. Solitabs are very recommended for this, but they are expensive. 100 pieces with sponge 25€.
Now i find out to use simple cleaning tablets based on peroxide and detergents .100 pieces about 10€ and the use of spontex sponge cloths which i cut to pieces of 1cmx1cm. They work perfect and I save a lot of money. You are able after use, to pick them up out of the waste, wash the sponge, dry and you can use them again.

How to get the clean off an ge coffee pot?

To clean the coffee stains there has a magic cleaning tools--magic melamine sponge. Magic sponge just need water and don't need detergent , strongcleaning capacity, saving time ,energy, convenient. The most distinguish with the traditional cleaning sponge is that the magic melamine sponge adopts physical cleaning principle. During cleaning, it can automatically absorb the stains on the surface. It is like countless superstrong mini cleaners working together.

When you use the magic melamine sponge to clean the oils on the dish you just need to follow below steps:
Step 1:put the magic melamine sponge into water,
Step 2:then use the hands gently squeeze the excess water in the magic melamine sponge.
Step 3:using the magic eraser gently wipe the part where has the pen stains
Step 4:after cleaning you can use a dry cloth to wipe up the dirts on the walls
Step 5:finally, you just need to put the magic eraser into clean water, the dirty will be dissolve automatically.

Help with absorber

Someone else asked same question on this site and got answer:
http://www.fixya.com/support/t198707-ink_waste

I also had that message. This seemed to work to clear the message and let you carry on printing.

Also, I may be wrong, but the actual ink absorber is the sponge part by the rollers underneath when it prints. I dont know if it has sorted the actual problem, but I took the sponge part out (I have an MP130 and the sponge part lifts straight out if you carefully put your finger underneath it on the left hand side) and let it soak in water, sqeezing it to get the ink out (It was full of ink so careful not to get it everywhere as it can be a little messy). When it had dried, I carefully put it back in (make sure you put it in the right way around).

Hopefully that now means the ink absorber is again empty AND the error message has gone.

Not sure about the whole cleaning the sponge idea, but I did it and according to the manual that sponge is labelled as the ink absorber so technically I have emptied it?

I haven't seen any posts about actually cleaning the sponge so take that part as you will.
