You need to find out what number x is 100%.

Start out with the facts known, 50 is 20% of this x, and write it down in mathematical symbols. This is just a translation of the words in your problem to the shortcut equation language used in math, the meaning is exactly the same, and with a little more experience you will easily move between these two.

50 = x * ( 20 / 100 )

Remember, 'percent' is from latin "per one hundred".

Multplying left and right side of the equation by 100 yields:

50 * 100 = x * ( 20 / 100 ) * 100, consolidation results in:

5000 = x * 20. Divide both sides by 20:

5000 / 20 = x * 20 / 20, consolidate:

250 = x.

This is your result, 250.

If the interest is 1 percent per month, then it's 12 percent per year. Thus I/Y = 12. You're making monthly payments so P/YR = 12. With N = 48 and PMT = -632, I get $23,999.54 .

Select FIN from the main menu, then TVM. Press [SHIFT] [CLEAR DATA] to clear. Press OTHER, enter 12 P/YR and select END if needed. Press [EXIT] to return to the TVM menu. Enter 48 N. Enter 12 I%YR. Enter -632 PMT. Press PV to see the result.

- divide the top of the fraction by the bottom
- Then multiply the result by 100
- add a percent sign to the answer so people know it is a percentage (i.e. per 100)

- e.g. 3/5 *100 = 0.6 * 100 = 60%

follow these steps:

- find a number that you can multiple the bottom of the fraction by to get 100
- multiple both top and bottom of the fraction by that number
- write down just the top number with the % sign added to the end

- e.g. 3/5 as a percentage

- we can multiply 5 x 20 to get 100
- multiple top and bottom by 20 = (3*20)/(5*20) = 60/100 = 60%

I hope this helps and good luck! If you have more questions - ask away! Please take the time to rate this answer.

set the problem up like so:

300,000 86.2

_______ = _____

x 100

To solve for x, take 300,000 * 100 / 86.2

The answer is 348,027.84

Say you want to know what percent x is of y (or To find out x is what percent of y).

We take x / y and times 100. Depending on what x and y are this might not always be a whole number,

we could round the number off to a whole number. An example: 81 is what percent of 135? To solve this

take (81 / 135) * 100 = (0.6) * 100 = 60 percent.

To figure out the percent, you simply divide your number by 100. Or, multiply your number by .xx (xx being whatever percent you want to find).

For example, if I want to know what 20% of 50 is, I would enter this:

.20 x 50 =

The answer is 10. So, 10 is 20% of 50.

As for the divide button, look for a "/".

If this helps, please take the time to give this response a positive rating. Thanks!

A firmware update. Same happens to my friend's unit yp-u2(x) a 512 mb model.

In XP OS.

1. Download and install firmware updater.(manufacturer's support site)just key in model number and type.

2. Run updater, press and hold play button until its been detected fully by the updater.

3. Check the format box(My friend's unit firmware ver is 1.xxx to 2.xxx something when updated).

4. Hit the update button or something like that. do not detached the unit until its done. Unmount the unit using unmount method "Safely remove hardware".

5. Turn on the unit it should pass the 20 percent mark. When its good it has no file yet coz of format option. Just load your song.

I think it happens when too much file is upload in the unit. 60 percent of its capacity may be enough.

Hope it helps............
