Take the card out and slide the little switch over that is on the top or side, it should say lock. If that doesn't work you may have to format it as it may be locked via software.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I turn on my cell and it asks me for my puk. I dont know what it is or how to find out how to get this information.

A PUK (PIN Unlock Key) code is required to unlock SIM cards that have become locked following three successive incorrect PIN entries. If your SIM card becomes locked, you will need to get a PUK code from your Cellular provider to unlock your SIM card
All you have to do is call your Cellular Provide and ask them for the PUK code, and they will.

If you bought the phone from T-Mobile, it would be wise to take the phone to a T-Mobile center and have them take a look at it.

This tool will do it for you, although it's not free. Also please bear in mind that you must have the permission of the file owner to obtain access otherwise you are breaking a multitude of laws in many countries.
