Question about Jandy Laars Lt 250,000 Btu Heater

1 Answer

My Laars LT heater comes on as if it calling for heat but...

The mode control has no response. I can't adjust the temp, nor does it ever satisfied. The heater runs constantly, as if it is still calling. The only peculiar thing is that light next to the "pool" mode flashes constantly. There are no other lights lit to indicate a problem. The only way to shut it down is to unplug the heater all togehter from the power source. Is there a proceedure to check what is wrong with it? Nothing in the manual covers this situation.

I have a laars jandy 250 lt gas pool heater that only heats luke warm. The heater cycles normally then heats up but stops before reaching operating temp. No service lights and thermal switches are g

I do not have a handy but mine has a temperature setting at the heater and one on the remote. it is possible that one of the settings is low. the pool or spa temp is sensed at the heater and with the water temp located in the pool lines. so both the control board and the heater are sensing the water temperature.

Laars Lt heater will not start- pressure switch light

it is time to check your filter make sure is not dirty and if your filter is clean and still doing this then the problem can be with one of the safety sensors they do have 2 hight limit switch located in the heater heather they re round with two wires on each one turn power off to heater and get a voltemer reader and check the hight limits for continuty they should read zero on your metter it can be your temp sensor heaters are so complicated that it is always good to have a pool tech service it I was a pool tech in california but now I am located in georgia

Heater will only heat spa water to luke warm.

sounds like it may be the thermostat on the heater. You are correct to check the filter first. if it is clean then it is probably the thermostat
