SOURCE: Door open alarm sounds and door open indicator

The switch which detects whether the door is open may be malfunctioning or the control unit to which the switch is connected is faulty. If there is only one switch it may be the same switch which puts the light on as you open the door.Does the light come on when the door is open? If so the switch if there is only one, is probably ok but the control unit is faulty.Look around the edge of the door frame for switches and check they are not stuck or damaged. I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

The door open music plays continually even with the door closed. How do I disconnect the door sensor on a Samsung SR-L709EVSS.

The alarm operates from the door switch which also turns light on. When refrigerator door is open for a set period the alarm sounds, fault is possibly either door switch or alarm panel. Can you operate door switch manually while door is open to see if light goes out? If light stays on then you have a faulty switch.

Whirlpool High Temperature Alarm Keeps Blinking

New Refrigerator / Freezer usually takes up to 12 hours to get the food down to temp and the inside air temps to stabilize...

Now, try explaining that to a BSN who is required to take hourly temp readings on a refrigerator and just loaded it half full of warm soft drinks and is opening and closing the door repeatedly retrieving supplies.

You lower the temp to "suit" (shut 'er up) and tomorrow they're calling you back because it's too cold...

Whirlpool WBM39MW alarm when door opened

Just had one of these with the blinking light, fan pulsating and no cooling. The fault is the power supply section in the control module at the back. It is a 2uF 400VAC capacitor going open circuit. make sure you replace this capacitor with something equal or better rated - it is critical

Whirlpool WBM46 faulty module

I know this is an old thread, but just in case people, like myself, are still looking
It is a 450V 2uF Capacitor that causes the issue. It is used as part of a divider circuit and as it fails, it creates a situation where the board can not supply the correct power so when the compressor, fan and light run together the fridge literally turns on and off repeatedly. The capacitor is on the Potency Module. This fails over time, the capacitor dries out, and that causes the issue.
This fridge model, including all variants of WBM35 and WBM46 (that I know of) has a Magnetic door switch for the interior lighting and fan control, so there is no lever or anything to hold in or tape in.
The Potency Module is easy to replace as a complete unit, it is on the lower left side of the rear of the fridge. There is 1 screw to remove (hex head) to release the metal cover and two screws that hold the potency module in place.
The cabling is keyed so will only go back on the one way. Cables are firmly connected, but just pull out. Be careful not to damage the ribbon cable when you unplug it (this goes to the interface board which is at the front of the fridge, with the two buttons and lights).
The Potency module as a complete part is available still (as of me writing this) but varies from $180 to $400 depending where you source it from. It's fairly easy to remove and replace if you have a little knowledge. If you get a tradie in to fix it, then it will not be worth it on the smaller models such as WBM35's as a new fridge would be cheaper.

Interior lights stay and alarm goes off every time i lock it

Your car thinks a door is open , thus the light stays on. When you lock the doors with the remote it activates the alarm system. 10 sec later it senses that the a door is open and alarm sounds.
I have a 99 passat as well and I just went outside to see where the switch on the door is. Can't see one anywhere , it must be inside the door (part of the latch mechanism). I tried to arm the alarm system by locking the doors with the remote while the door was still open , sure enough the alarm went off about 15 secs later.

When I unlock my jeep the alarm goes off.

On some cars/trucks/SUV's, the alarm will go off if the car is unlocked with the key or if the door is opened (even from inside the car with the alarm set). Unlocking with a key does not always turn off a car alarm. Best advice, go to the dealership to get a new key-less entry remote, or get a new alarm installed with a remote to override the original alarm system.
