Re: overscan

If that doesn't work then go to video options and put windowed mode on. then you can adjust the size yourself.

Re: overscan

Check out the adjustment called "format" or "aspect" in your on screen menu; it will be either in 16/9 , 4/3 ect. formats.... it may be set for "autoformat" as well

Yes, if you have the original remote and get into the adjustment menu which is hidden you can adjust width, height, and centering if you want.

Peoples heads are cut off on reg tv not in hd

Since your tv is cutting the heads off durring regular or analog signal but not high deffinition sounds to me like you have to set the aspect ratio different or such as going to your picture format from the main screen. Play with the settings from zoom, full screen, no overscan, cinerama and see if this helps.

Is there any way to adjust the screen image size? I recently connected a computer to the DVI input, and at 1280x720 there is quite a bit of overscan. Is it possible to reduce the image size?

Change the display settings on the computer desktop, try various sizes.

If using programs like word or firefox change display size with shift/mousewheel. Also change font sizes for best view. Don''t worry about resolution numbers, adjust for good picture.

How do you hook up tv to computer to play netflix off computer

Based on the model number, Zenith manual shows a VGA connector on the back. So if your video card has two connections then one can be sent to the TV and it becomes another monitor to your PC. Enabling the monitor is usually done through Display properties in your control panel. If you don't have a 2nd connection then connect the TV directly to your VGA output and let the TV be the primary monitor (select that input through your remote's source or input button) then boot the PC. You should see the PC video and boot process on screen. From there you can play Netflix or video games (Warcraft is awesome)

To get the manual for your model go to the link and fill out the requested info. You will need to dload a reader for the manual to show up.

Is playing video games bad for my TV

Absolutely not. Your set is the safest type of tv to play games on. Plasma sets are the worst type to play games on due to screen burn in. You are good to go.

Display to big with PS3

All CRT RPTVs have overscan, and some sources bring this out more than others.

It can always be cured to at least be able to see the needed parts of the pic, but hoses your picture beyond belief, and correcting that takes time, experience, patience and expertise.

I do overscan reduction on all CRT RPTVs as part of what my calibrations offer, but charge extra to do so.

Overscan Problem

Switch to that input, and run the Auto Convergence for that input (Setup menu on the TV, Convergence). Convergence settings save for that particular input.
