I have installed studio 16 ultimate on my computer however when I click on the icon it tell me the system has been upgraded after installation. we recommend that I re-install the software which I have
The exact words that come up are "operating system has been upgraded after Studio has been installed. some or all of the program's features may not operate correctly. We recommend that you re-install the software." I have also gone into www.microsoft.com ......compatibility/......and so on. They give me some solutions but I cannot find some of the things to do of which are 1)change a registry key from 603 to 602, run the regedit file and others. None of which I can find.

ok ..had same issues as you all running Win7 ultimate....so i had a play about and got it all working 100%
ok step 1 download this file" 20080616115846062_Samsung_USB_Driver_Installer" (google search it or goto samsung website)
step 2 download this file" Samsung_PC_Studio_323_IF5" (google search it or goto samsung website)
save them to a new folder on your desktop, or to a place you normally download files to (do not open or run them) right click each exe icon select properties and select compatibility tab select "Run this program in compatibility for" WINDOWS XP (service pack 2) also enter a tick in the check box for run as administrator
do this for both .EXE icons
run the usb driver file first then run the pc studio
the USB files may fail to function at this stage, but its fine ....once you have installed pcstudio..and if you have errors on the USB files run them again....and they will work fine
1 more thing on the PC Studio icon that i splaced on your desktop after installation right click again and select properties compatibility win xpservice pack 2 and administrator..and all should work
The software you're trying to install is an upgrade from the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional edition. If you do not have that version of Visual Studio installed, you won't be able to install the upgrade.
However, I would recommend you downloaded the Visual Studio 2010 Express edition, it's fully functional and I used it for a long time before upgrading to the professional edition. To be honest the only feature I use in the professional edition is the addon system. Plus, the 2010 Express edition is free and available for anyone.
The recommended solution is to upgrade for version 18.
I'd guess you already tried running the installer by choosing Run this program in compatibility mode (by right clicking and choosing properties) and then right clicking again and Run as administrator.
Your next option is to run a virtual PC within your Win7 computer (or a dual boot system) with a compatible OS running on the "other" machine. With Win7 Pro and Ultimate, there is an option to download two programs and install them for a free WinXP virtual computer (XP mode). For the other primary OS's you'll need to have a valid license of the compatible OS to install in program that runs the virtualization or the second boot disc. Then install the Printmaster in the "machine" with the correct OS. You may find you need to save the files to external media to transfer them. (The virtual computer won't let you have one printer installed on both the virtual system and the real computer.)
If you have a full version of Windows Vista Ultimate, you can just insert the DVD when you logged in your laptop and go to Computer(My Computer) and lauch the installer for Windows on DVD icon (Double Click DVD icon). It will give you the main window for installing Windows and along the way, you should find an Upgrade option. Click that one and it will install windows Ultimate on your system. It Will not format the laptop but installer will just add system files and features to the laptop to run Vista Ultimate.
**If you haven't purhcase a Windows Vista Ultimate Disc, check this link to to purchase just an upgrade Disc (only) of Vista Ultimate.
