You need to open the scanner and de-assemble some parts to remove the piece of paper which involves technical expertise. I would recommend to contact a Fujitsu scanner technician or call your nearest service center for assistance.
Fujitsu fi-5120C is compatible with Windows 7. However, you have to download and install the scanner drivers for Windows 7. Click HERE to download the required drivers and toolkit (Installation & User Guides are also available). Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the scanner drivers/ toolkit.
I have to tell you that 1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps are generated from bios for vga errors... This means that you have to get your laptor at the technician as sooner as posible in order to check the vga part of the motherboard for ventilation problems (that's the best solution for you) or for motherboard replacement (I don't think that this solution is very comfortable, since it will cost as a new laptop)

you can reset this message in the scanner controll panel. Please call windows <start> <settings> <system control> <scanner and cameras> open <scanner and cameras> inside you will find your fujitsu scanner fi-5120C now call <attributes> -- in WIN2000 there is a button, in XP use the right mouse button-- in <device settings> you see the ADF counter, an the consumable counters for pad and pick roller. Reset the changed parts, confirm the EEPROM writing and the message will be cleared.
