Question about Canon Office Equipment & Supplies
I am trying to install a Canon PIXMA MG3120/3122 Printer and get it setup, but whenever the installation starts, I get an error message titled "MP Drivers" and it states: "Printer driver is currently in use. If you are not using the printer driver, it may be used by other users on this computer. Exit all applications and printer properties and then try again. If you still have a problem, restart the computer and then try again." There are no open programs or windows, the only window that would be open, is the installation window itself...
You might have to open up printers and devices in conrtol panel.
Right click in the bottom toolbar (Bottom of Screen) select the toolbars option then Desktop this will add >> arrows in the bottom toolbar select the arrows you will see a list with control panel which has another list of all control panel items.
Click on >> then on the first control panel in the list select view devices and printers see if your printer is in the list or select add a device once selected windows will search for any connected devices then just follow the prompts

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

One of the most possible reason is related to Print Spooler service. Please check the "Print Spooler" service if its turned on. if its not you can turn it on. Here is the way to go Services screen

i think driver u have installed is not support cd label print. u go to your vender who provide u printer. or u have better option to upgrade your driver which support cd label print. good luck purushotam

I would go to Canon USA below is the direct link and download the driver from there. It sounds like you have a bad disk, or it's not Vista compatible.. No proplem they are always updating drivers and have them for free. I would give you a direct link to the download but they need you to specify whether your running a 32 or 64 bit version. Click on this link select your operating system and you will be able to download and install the latest drivers and software for your printer. Here you go:

On Vista machine, Go to Control Panel. Choose printer. Then choose Add Printer.
Choose Add a local printer. Click on Create a new port. The default in the drop down box is Local Port. Do not change that. Click Next.
A dialogue box will appear asking for you to enter a port name. Type in the \\computer name\printer name

Testimonial: "That did it! Thank you so much!"
Did you download the latest drivers from the website? It looks like they were posted this month. I would report the issue. It is quite likely there is a compatibility issue. Have you contacted canon at all about this problem? Once I have more information I can try and assist you further.
