Question about Video Game Consoles & Games
I have a Nokia 6234 but I am getting constant complaints from my callers/clients that I am not answereing my calls or that I am not available or that it goes directly to voice mail. I have spoken to Vodafone and they tell me the 3G phones have a tendency to require resetting like a PC since there is so much going on in them technically. I sorely miss my old 6310i - I never had such a catalogue of missed calls. Is there a firmware upgrade or do I simly ditch the 3G type phone if all I want is to be able to make and receive calls. My business is dependent upon this. I have put 6233 in the product line since it does not allow me to put 6234!
Good day, think I may have the solution to your problem.
I have been the proud owner of my 6234 for 2 years now and it is a very reliable, feature-packed phone; don't get rid of it, it's gold.
When I first got my Nokia 6234, my signal was terrible terribly unstable, signal kept cutting off.. I asked a friend with the same phone, and found out this was due to the fact that 3G in the area was very unreliable. Everytime the phone reverted between regular GPRS and 3G, the signal was reset. His solution to me, which is the same I'm passing on to you, was if you don't need fast 3G, simply just activate GPRS only.
Go menu, settings, phone, and change network type from "Dual Mode" (3G & GPRS) to "GSM" (GPRS only). This should work... Hope it sorts out your problem. If you need anymore information or just want to give feedback as to whether it worked or not, please don't hesitate to e-mail me on Grim.Fandango88@Gmail.com
Found your pst when googling an unrelated problem of my own, so this is my first visit to and post on this website:-)So would be great for some feedback. Good luck and apart from a few minor faults of the 6234, it is a brilliant phone. You shouldn't need to buy a new one.
