Take a flat head screw driver and pry the end cap off. It will come off. You might have some string or hair around it causing it to not turn.

SOURCE: Stuck Roller

Befrore you plunk your $ down ...

I dont now that you melted the hair so much as you may have an accululation of gunk and hair. If there is a good (not 'fast food' type) auto parts store near you, go there and ask the counterman for his or her recommendation for cleaning those surfaces. I have had success with OOops and other stuff in that same area.

I hope this helps you

SOURCE: A cap on one end of the roller brush is centered

It's hard to say definitively what the problem is here. Rollers usually have bearings at each end and they can wear or freeze up especially if they are exposed to water. When you say that the cap is not centered, I assume that you mean that you have removed the roller and the cap is off center on the end.

I assume that you cannot make the roller turn with your hand on the uncentered end. I would compare the 2 ends and see if it is possible that the uncentered one has broken and become off center. If there are bearings on the end, you can try to lubricate them and free them (use WD40, or something similar). I'm not sure what the roller for this vacuum is supposed to look like but all of them should spin freely. Wish I had a photo of your roller. Hope this helps some. Good luck!

Where can i get full complete dbr decals and stickers for my moutain bike

You may not be able to get original decals. Google bicycle decals and do some research to see what's available. If you are considering painting your bike you should also thoroughly research that with a Google search for paint bicycle, as it's easy to do a poor DIY job that will neither look good nor last long. If it's a higher end bike it may be worth it to you to have it professionally powder coated.

Tip

Generic, All Around Useful Painting Tips...

When faced with an expensive Paintbrush with dried paint, don't toss it, Save It...
  • Soak it overnight - Starting out with very warm Vinegar.
Now so it doesn't happen again...
  • Clean well, Place it into proper sized Ziplock Bag & then put into a Pringles, or Coffee can, Then cap it with the plastic Lid.
When storing a partially used can of paint, instead of just putting the lid on it,
  • place a sheet of plastic sheeting like Saran Wrap over the top, then press the lid on.
Instead of using the edge of the can to remove excess paint,
  • find a large thick Rubber Band, or Tie a wire or Twine over the top and bottom, exposing it over the middle of the opened can. Now just use that to remove excess paint & it will fall directly into middle of can and keeps can clean.
If your painted project appears a little rough after painting...
  • Don't use sandpaper or steel wool to remove roughness, that will leave scratch marks, even if gone over lightly, instead use Brown Paper Bag.
If going to apply new coat or 1st coat over metal,
  • wipe down really well with Vinegar. This will help keep paint from bubbling, chipping, blistering or peeling away.
To keep paint brush marks from being noticeable, especially on furniture or cabinetry, or Doors,
  • Use a product called Flotrol. This will eliminate streak and brush marks.
And one more tip
When needing to know what type of paint is on your project that you want to repaint...
  • Pour some Vinegar on a cotton ball, then rub on the paint. If cotton ball has paint on it, it is Latex, Not Oil based.
Happy Painting

Will not suck the paint just air is coming out

Hello I just saw this in my inbox, let me see if I can help you-
NOTE: Whenever you are going to spray with any HVLP or cup-gun
strain paint through either a strainer bag or an Automotive strainer cone to remove any kind of debris from the paint that can clog the delivery tube that sucks the paint up from the "cup" and into the fluid needle.
yes even though "Wagner" says the Flexio will spray un-thinned Latex-
However by thinning your paint 10% to 15% you will get better coverage and the paint will move through the gun better
If you have no paint coming out try adjusting the fluid material knob on top-

Also try holding a piece of card in front of the the Tip and try all your Adjustments and you should start seeing the paint spraying onto the piece of cardboard or wall.

Thanks,

I have not used my power roller 990 in a few years. I got it out today, turned it on, worked for one second. now nothing

Pump did not get cleaned out right the last time you used it-
Also this time when you clean it take the cover off the frame if its got dried paint on it throw it away, every time you use this roller cover take the cover off and clean it well these types of covers have lots of small little holes in them thats how the paint gets onto the roller cover in a 5 gal bucket fill it with warm water and start to work the paint off it and use a "brush spinner" made by Shur Line it also cleans out roller covers to by throwing the wet paint or dirty water out be sure to "spin the cover or brush" out in a empty 5 gal bucket as it is messy. not-used-power-roller-990-in-few-years-4z2gdaa2roisjyazpqzwiojf-3-0.jpg

How can I fix a electrical spray gun that does not spray but makes noise like its going to spray.

R D, I think the spray nozzle is blocked with previous paint job. I would try soaking it in paint solvent for a few hours to see if it helps. Use the cleaning brush to clean as much as you can all the channels where you see paint. good luck.

Wagner smart edge roller worked fine out of the box. Now I'm trying to use it a second time and the roller won't roll freely. Too much friction from the snap fit to the dispense head. Any ideas?

Usually when a roller doesn't roll freely it's because it wasn't cleaned well. Be sure all dried paint is removed from the area where the roller attaches to the arm. A little WD-40 usually loosens it up too.

Old Wangner Cap Sprayer & Compressor

The Wagner Capspray 9000 HVLP is about 20 years old, but you should be able to find parts, at least for the HVLP gun. The manual for the turbine is #0276989. If you are in the US try Scott at American Airless Wagner Titan Graco Paint Sprayers or in Europe try us at:

I want to paint my grill i have the red grill and i would like to powder coat the red area but i have been told it is enamel so i wanted to know if you could do that. the reason is we got acid on it and it...

Powder paint is sprayed as a dry dust. The nozzle imparts a charge to the paint particles and they are electrostatically attracted to the object, which is connected to give it the opposite charge. After powder painting it gets heated in an oven to 350 degrees for about 15 minutes and then cooled. At least that is how I remember it from when I was working in a plant that did powder painting of parts. The finished product is stronger than regular paint and much more heat resistant. I do know there are small scale powder paint kits because car restorers are able to get them and use them. I do not know where though. You should be able to search the internet for powder paint systems that you can use at home. I think the car mechanics have an old oven that they use to heat it with. My guess is that it will cost more for the kit then it will to replace the grill.

I am looking at buying a Wagner Max HLVP sprayer. The jobs are staining a modest stretch of fencng and a larger staining project of an overhead pagoda-type structure. Is this a good choice or would you...

I was a painting contractor for last 10 years of my work career.

If you are using HVLC cup gun, you will have to select correct tip,
You will need to thin the latex 50-50 with water, and keep paint strained to keep out all clogging.
If the tip is not reversible, then expect disassemble each time clog happens.
And you will be continually re-filling the cup.
And then if the surface is rough, the spray won't flow into the holes.
You have a mess coming your way.

Painting a fence: A roller is the only way to paint/stain rough surface.
Buy big hairy 1" roller cover from Sherwin Williams. Don't get the cheapo 1/4" thick roller cover because it doesn't hold any paint. The big roller holds a big volume of paint.

Now if fence is rough, like cedar, you need to thin the stain.
About 1.5 gallon water per 5 of stain ... and suddenly you have 6-1/2 gallons of stain which means you bought too many gallons of stain.
So don't overbuy the stain. And pick up 2 plastic bucket for mixing.
Empty gallon of stain into mixing bucket > put water into empty gallon > put lid on gallon and shake up > pour water into mixing bucket with stain > to mix: pour mixing bucket of stain back and forth between other mixing bucket until stain is mixed. Do this work on the grass where it won't run out onto concrete surface.

Put roller and frame on a wood pole that you took off the push broom. Now roll that stain onto every surface the roller can touch. Think of it like picking up quarters. If it was money, could you get the roller on that spot >> the answer is yes. Don't try to smooth it out and make pretty. Throw the stain on any way the roller can turn. Customers used to call that 'slapping it on' and I used to say, 'that's how it works, lady.'

Use a piece of masonite at the bottom. If you get stain on anything, wash it off immediately and use a wire brush on concrete surface or towel on smooth surface.

Wait for a day, because stain looks 100% better next day. And then go back with a brush and hit the spots you couldn't get with the roller. It will be faster and cheaper and fewer headaches than trying to spray latex stain with a HVLP cup gun.

To clean the roller: Leave it on the roller frame and wood stick. Turn on water hose and get the roller spinning until it's clean. Do this away from everything you don't want stain on.
