As we all know that blender is an electronic device from which you may face some problems while using it. One of the main problems is leakage, the neckline and gasket are the first problems that will give some inconvenience to you, it is a most critical part of your blender because they keep it sealed or water tight. I would suggest you the Best Blender Under 100 which is on your budget also.
Please make sure the collar is on a firm flat surface (not on the blender). Check the silicon gasket is evenly placed in its groove in the middle of the collar. Lower the glass jar onto the collar lining up the gaps on the collar with the glass keys on the side of the jar. Holding the collar in one hand, twist the glass jar clockwise to lock into place. If this doesn't work it sounds like something is jamming the mechanism underneath.
I had the same issue. i took the gasket from the other blade to use with the blade i use everyday. one trick is, don't remove that gasket to clean it but make sure it stays in there. Just soak it and scrub it good, to make sure it stays seated in there.
If the gasket comes loose while you are grinding, the lid will come loose in the base and sometimes causes you to not be able to get the jar from the base. you have to turn the jar the opposite direction to get the lid to tighten up, then you can remove the jar from the base.
I am trying to get replacement jars since those plastic nobbies that run the blender have broken off. It is down to one of 3 nobbies, so it can't be run anymore. I mght just have to buy a brand new blender but it seems so wasteful.
I called the place.. and the lady sold me 2 Gaskets.. for $2 and only charged me $4 for shipping.. Much better rate.. We love our smoothie machine.. but when you cant find decent replacement parts.. its really dis-heartning.
