Question about Compaq Presario A928ca Laptop Lcd Screen 17" Wxga Ccfl
1.67 GHz Pentium Dual-Core Mobile Processor T5450 featuring Intel Centrino Processor Technology
The first thing I would do is open the case and remove the fan and heat sink for the processor. You will probably find a little "radiator" looking device clogged with dust bunnies. Clean it out good with canned air and reinstall it. Be sure to clean the processor and heat sink then reapply heat sink compound. Clean all your fans and, with the case open, power up and look at all your fans. Are they all spinning at full power. If not, replace them. Reassemble the case. You should be good.
