Sounds like the seal is worn and needs to be replaced.

Brake fluid is leaking

You need to find the source of the leak and repair ASAP. Shouldn't be hard. If its leaking or has leaked fluid, you should be able to find the wet bits and narrow it down from there.

4 cyl., 5 speed. Why is it leaking somewhere under the frame - not transmission fluid

Smell the fluid. If it smells like gasoline you have a gas leak. If it smells like antifreeze you could have a hose or a anti freeze cooler line leaking. Or could be a water pump leaking and running along the frame under the car. Get a flash light and crawl under neath the vehicle and see where the fluid is coming from.

It is just the broken seal which is causing the fluid to leak, replace the seal to avoid fluid leakage.

Possible leaks are 1. Transmission belly Pan gasket 2. Front pump/torque converter seal. 3. Transmission fluid cooler lines 4. Axle seals at right and left half shafts.

Water leaking near top of engine 3.8 Buick Regal LS ?

Wipe any coolant off your engine make sure there is coolant in the car. Run engine for a bit. shut off engine and look for wet spot. Before this see if there are any cracks in rubber hoses or they are loose. It could be a thermostat gasket or warped housing to. Its hard to say without seeing it.

If it is leaking oil out a tube , they may have overfilled it.
I'd be checking the oil level first.
If it is petrol leaking, the float in the carby might be set wrong, or needle and seat might be stuck, or worn out.
It depends what is leaking, but flooding carburetor (petrol) will usually come out a small tube, check the float height, adjustment.
Sometimes a small bit of dirt can jam the needle open, causing flooding.
Good luck

Leaking transmission fluid

This problem if left unrepaired can cost you thousands of dollars.
Transmission fluid will typically be red in color,,and will leak from near the center of the underside of the car.
Take it into a repair center as soon as you can
